Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Debdobs Complete frustration
We were excited to do some small projects at our cottage-wicker chairs ,fireplace surface, furniture, thinking this would be adequate. We followed the instructions for set up, cleaning, troubleshooting to the letter. The first 2 times we used it, it worked okay, although the time it took to clean it thoroughly far surpassed the time we actually used it! It was more trouble than it was worth.
On the third attempt to use it, it started as others describe, sprayed a bit and then would not spray. Took it apart, cleaned again, replaced piston...and that went on about 4 times before we gave up. Honestly, Wagner...if you are the leaders in household paint sprayers, why can't you manufacture a product that actually works, longer than twice!! Totally frustrated and unhappy.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by odobit Did a fine job on kitchen cabinet doors/drawers
Before putting a house on the market the 10 year old yellowed kitchen cabinet uppers. lowers, and drawers needed a touch up with a scuff resistant latex acrylic designed for casegoods to restore their original satin white lustre. I used this to good effect. Clean up took about 20 minutes.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by gm48min Good power painter
Good unit for outside painting job such as privacy lattice, fences, decking and large surfaces as walls: Saves a lot of time !
But cannot stop spaying few minutes and start again : So plan before
the spray gun must be clean often or it will top working . Cleaning is easy to get used to if you are the kind of person who likes to clean brushes and rollers after a paint job ...like me .
A paint brush must be held with the other hand to remove drips and touch up where the sprayer cannot cover such underneath edges .

O.k. let me start by saying that I did a pretty good amount of research about paint sprayer before I bought this product. I read all the reviews and was kind of uncertain about his product because so many of the reviews were negative, but there were also some positive one's.
I used this sprayer for out kitchen cabinets, it worked amazing. I am a fairly handy person but an expert I am not. This was very easy to use if you READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! I would highly recommend this sprayer it saves you a huge amount of time.
Also, there is a bit of over spray for this unit, which is expected, so make sure you can do you project in the garage or outside. I never used it to paint walls inside the home, I'm sure it would work but make sure to plastic off everything.
The only negative I can give this unit is that the paint runs out pretty quickly, but not a big deal. Make sure to keep an eye on the paint level in the container, to avoid "spiting" I would fill the container up when you get to about a 1/4 left. If spitting does occur it's no the end of the world, just have a roller handy to spread out the piant
Make sure you clean up the unit (as per the instructions) immediately after use to avoid any problems for the next time you use it.
I must say again this is worth the money, just for the time it saves you on your project.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by slick50 Deck Restoration Time Saver
I read a lot of the reviews about this sprayer before I bought one for my project. I found that most of the negative reviews to be false. It's an economy sprayer and is not priced or designed to be as good as the expensive pro models. It's also not a tool you can take right of the box and use it correctly right of the bat. It will take some practice get the hang of it. I sprayed some areas that were not visible to those using the deck to get a feel for the sprayer.
I bought this to help finish a deck make over. It definitely saved time, however, it had some quality issues. The first is the atomizer wears out very quickly. They include one extra atomizer which is good. The first atomizer didn't work after about a gallon and a half of Behr Solid stain. They don't sell the replacements in the store so they have to be ordered. Between the two you can spray about 4 gallons I would guess. So if your project will use more than that plan ahead and get the extra atomizers before you start.
It took me a while to get the hang of it and once I did it saved me a lot of time. It's not like using a can of spray paint. It takes practice to use it well. If you are having trouble at first keep at it; you will get better. Don't think many people without spraying experience will put it out of the box and get the results they desire.
I used it primarily to paint the deck floor and the lattice panels on the deck. I had to keep paint brush in my pocket to help smooth out some of the areas where the stain went on to thick. Partially operator error and part sprayer error. It was still quicker than painting all of the lattice by hand. I also sprayed the deck floor and used a large stain pad and pole to smooth out the coats of stain. The biggest advantage is the sprayer was able to get the stain in all the nooks and crannies. It saved time because the stain sprayed faster than dipping and wiping the pad over and over. So I sprayed an area and then used the pad to spread the stain evenly. It also extended the area of coverage by spreading it with the pad.
I found it easy to break apart and clean. Not to difficult to do and only takes about 15 minutes.
Overall I was grateful to have had the Power Painters help with the job.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Suby04 Nice idea, bad design
This sprayer initially worked so well I was totally impressed. Easy to prime, smooth even coats and works in all directions. However after a few uses (probably 4-5 gallons of paint total over the course of several months) it started to sputter. There would be a nice fine mist, followed by big blobs being sprayed, then it would stop spraying but dribble a bit, then sputter (which made more spots of paint on the surface being sprayed) then start spraying fine.
Ive tried all the tricks in the book, online and even with customer service. The unit was cleaned after each use and well lubricated. I even replaced the nozzle. No difference and after trying to use it last week with no luck (just sputtered paint, then dribbled it, then sputtered it again) I returned it to HD for a refund.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by ManBearPig Wagner carries on its reputation for junk painters
For some reason I gave Wagner another shot after my Wagner Paint crew failed. Well, I made yet another mistake. This thing clogs very easily and leaks terribly around the top of the can. Never again will I buy Wagner.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by fitzpp The Power Painter worked just fine.
Wish I got the hose adapter for painting directly from the can, the quart container lasts about 5-6 minutes. The spray is consistent and works as advertised, 2 things to be aware of, it spatters as the container empties (just have a brush ready) and make sure you follow the clean up instructions.
