You are lucky to have worn out a pad. My unit sprung a leak midway through first use.

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 25 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works well Overall I'm pleased with the Renuvo deck staining tool -- worked pretty well staining my deck (see pics 1 + 2) without the issues involved with using rollers and brushes. But there are a couple of issues. The trigger releases the stain through about 5 portals into the pad. More portals would be better for more even application. The groove brush was a smart idea and does a fair job of applying stain between the slats. But it is not anchored to the pad well enough--it kept popping off the tool (see pic 3). Wagner should look at better anchoring mechanisms, perhaps even a screw. Also, the seal from the reservoir to the tool needs improved (perhaps an o-ring) because while I used the tool, the stain was dripping out of the back of the reservoir (see pic 4). But in the end, staining my 12'x12' deck took about an hour and looks great (see pics 5 + 6). Clean up requires disassembling the tool to 4 pieces and cleaning each, with special attention to the pad so it can be reused. Dis- and re-assembly is easy and straight forward. July 26, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fresk look My Renuvo Deck Staining Tool worked well, it was effortless and easy on the back, no more bending over on hands and knees to stain the ramp to my barn with a brush. Nice flow control built into the handle, I needed to slightly open the flow valve for the stain I was using, and the trigger allowed just the right amount of stain at the right time.. Easy clean up also, just soap and water, rinse and done. Ready for my next project. May 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked great This made the job go so much faster. I have a 35' X 16' deck and was not looked forward to staining it. It took no time with this product. My wife did have to touch up the ends and edges as I stained but I would recommend this product. Well worth the money spent. May 25, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by worst ever what good is this product if you can not buy pads from home depot June 9, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst ever! Great idea that flops! It refused even coverage and the gap brush is useless. Threw it in the trash after 5 deck boards and went back to brushes & roller May 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to use but requires clean up The Wagner Renuvo deck staining tool required some quick assembly out of the box. The tube, pad, and brush needed assembly, but this task was done in minutes. The unit is very easy to use and the printed instructions are very clear and easy to follow. The most important part of the process when using this tool is to adjust the flow rate of material from the product. Once my husband increased the flow rate, we had no trouble finishing the staining process in under 1/2 hour. My husband has used a paint roller with extender in the past, and this tool seems to be a bit easier. This is because there is no need to keep dipping into a paint tray over and over. The roller process also requires moving the paint tray as you continue to stain the deck. The second reason for a 4 star rating would be that we have to still use a roller for our deck benches and cannot use the renuvo tool for that process. The only drawback on this tool would be the clean up process. It took about 20 minutes to properly clean the tool, as we want to put on a second coat of stain in a couple of days. With the old process, we would simply throw away the roller and be done. That is the reason that I gave this product a 4 star rating. I do feel that the product works perfectly and that the result was perfect. After looking today at the first coat, I wonder even if we need a second coat. So, my opinion is that the pad probably does a better job of total coverage than a roller. Overall, this product worked well with our deck stain and we are very satisfied. April 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Back saver!! This tool was just what we were looking for to re-stain the deck, it works smoothly and quickly. The railing of course has to be done by hand but that was ok for us. It just really quickly and with a minimum amount of effort did the floor of the deck. The price was very reasonable, the order was easy and the tool came quickly. December 8, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by good idea bad product Didn't work in the slots between boards very well. Touch up required between every board. Tank leaked leaving drips. The clips held the tank on great but it leaked. The little brush kept popping out of the head. If ether a screw head is not countersunk just right or wood beveling up around it the pad would catch on it. This might work better on a new deck. I'll just go back to a garden sprayer so I get application between the boards. July 12, 2015
