what would be the best nap for exterior of moble home

3/8'' or 3/4''
Asked by: Anonymous
Which nap you want to use depends on what the exterior of your home is made of. A 3/8" nap would be typically used on semi-smooth surfaces such as painted or unpainted walls. A 3/4" nap would typically be used on a semi-rough surface such as stucco.

Customer Reviews

TurboRoll Battery Powered Paint Roller-DISCONTINUED is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 42.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed After reading everyone's positive reviews I thought this would be ideal for me. Unfortunately I wasn't as impressed. I found it to be awkward especially in more confined areas. The plunger, when fully extended, was hitting things behind me. I would not recommend anyone use this on popcorn ceilings such as mine. Even with the spray guard paint was spraying everywhere. I ended up doing the second coat with a traditional roller. Half way through doing the walls I switched over to the traditional roller and found coverage to be better and just as fast. It was a worthwhile experiment but for me personally I much prefer a standard roller. I think a regular long handled roller would be more efficient and cheaper if long handled rollers are your preference. Dipping into a paint tray isn't all that big a deal. So, to repeat myself, overall I find traditional short and long handled rollers have better control and coverage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Painted an entire house... This product is downright magical. We had to paint the entire interior of a 2000+ square foot house, and it would have taken far longer without the turbo roller. Yes, it is time consuming to clean, but it is SO worth it! The time it saved was worth far more than the cost of the product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW what a GREAT tool; saved me 5 to 7 hours on each side of my house. only used one roller for the exterior of the house - 12 gallons with power roller for body color; trim color with a brush another 4 gallons. Just cleaned power roller out and left in a bucket of water overnight; blew it out with air compressor first thing and went back to work. This is worth a lot more than it cost. follow the instructions and clean the tool daily; disassemble and grease the o-rings every other day and you should have no problems. allow 20 minutes clean up per day (if you do a good job) but keep in mind you save hours of labor daily. approx 70 sq ft per tube fill and no tray. If you are doing a larg job - buy it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome!!! This thing is amazing. Not only can you paint twice as fast.. but there's no mess!!!! It all stays on the roller and the paint comes straight from the can to the roller. There's no drips, pans, or spills. I love this thing and will never paint again without it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good Product - Better Than It Looks I achieved very good results the first time I used it. Painted about 700 sq ft of wall. Very fast and efficient. Even application of paint on the wall. It is a pain to clean, but if you do it immediately its not that much of a problem. I did notice the second I used the roller is did not hold paint as well. I had quite a bit of splattering as I was rolling on the walls. The third time it was worse to the point of being unuseable. I cleaned the roller very well each time. So now I'm buying more rollers and will try using each 1 time. I'll update this comment later.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wagner Turbo Roller The Turbo Roller really works well. I've only used it on about 1500 sq. ft. of ceiling, but plan to paint my entire 3 car garage with it in June. Very little splatter if you don't go too fast with it. One drawback is if you're painting a ceiling, it gets a bit heavy with a full tube of paint. The mechanism (battery powered plunger) works flawlessly, no leaks at all which is really nice. The cleanup of this item is like all paint items, it takes alot of water and alot of time to clean up, but that's just the nature of the beast. A deep sink for cleanup is a great help. This paint roller will not work with a 5 gallon bucket of paint, you need to transfer the paint from a 5 gallon bucket to a conventional 1 gallon can to allow the included 1 gallon paint can cover and draw tube to work with the Wagner Paint Tube/Roller. I like this alot except for the weight, but if you're working on a ceiling or high walls that require a ladder, this will greatly reduce the number of times you have to go up and down a ladder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool Fast painting tool ! You have a little time in getting it clean but you would have to clean anything you would use to paint with.I loaded it, painted and by the time I got all the trim tape and drop cloths picked up put away my wife hade the painting tool cleaned. Great Tool !!!!!!!! Great reach! Saves time by not having to go get more paint right away.Seeing how much paint you have gives you a better idea on when to go back to fill !!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not Bad, But.... For a room with the standard 4 walls, I think this product would be exceptional. However, the room I used it in had walls that stuck out, small walls in parts and a chair rail to contend with. While it worked well (the added weight in the tube took some getting used to) on the larger areas, it was difficult to use below the chair rail. I don't think it saved me any more time than if I had used a standard roller. It was easy to assemble and, as mentioned in other reviews, a pain to clean. Still, I think it was money well spent. I will be using it in another room with no chair rail and 3 larger walls. I'm certain on those, it will be very handy.
