The workmanship is not so great. The veneer on the top of the shelf was bulging slightly from either nails or staples beneath it. The hardware was jammed into the tubes and impossible to extract. We did manage to get one screw out and realized it was cheap and useless. Luckily, we had good screws on hand and so was able to install it without having to run to the store again.
It was installed under a half round window, high on the wall, and would not carry a great deal of weight...basically just some glass figurines. I'm not sure I would trust anything really heavy to the shelf as I think the hanging tubes (that "float" the shelf) are not particularly strong. I have a different floating shelf that I bought some years ago, and the difference between the tubes is very noticeable. The older shelf's tubes are extremely rigid and large. This newer shelf's tubes are thinner and smaller. Because I installed it above eye level, the veneer bulging up slightly over the hardware was a non-issue. However, if installed at eye level, this would be very noticeable.
I would recommend this shelf, but only with the following caveats: do not expect it to be high quality, do not expect it to be a "honey" oak (it was MUCH lighter), and do not expect it to handle anything really heavy.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by TediMom Have it shipped to nearest Home Depot for pick up
The first shipment we had sent to our home. Two of the three shelves were chipped and ends broken. We called and they blamed it on UPS....but the packaging was very poor, very little bubble wrap and very thin cardboard box to be shipping shelves in. We reordered and had the two sent to our local store and we picked them up there and inspected them right there before we took them. The design is good the workmanship is less than average. The stain was a very light oak and we had to put additional stain on them to match the medium regular oak stain that we have on an existing mantel and woodwork.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Handyman Shelf doesn't lock in place
The mounting bracket is flimsy and you're not likely to find studs to line up with its holes. As a consequence, the mounting rods sag slightly, and the shelf sags. In addition, the shelf doesn't lock down on the rods. Finally, I had ordered two units; one of them arrived with a crushed corner, even though the shipping box was intact, and there was no way to see the damage, without completely removing the cellophane wrapper and the corner "guards". Needless to say, that one was returned for a refund.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by OccasionalDIYer Poor Design - Need to buy accessories to make it work
1. There a limited screw holes in the bracket which are expected to be put on studs. There should me more holes or adjustable holes or other design to make it work.
2. I ended up putting it on dry wall. There are no options given to put the bracket on dry wall - there should be a conditional (low weight carrying option) way of putting on the drywall with the anchors and screws to fit the bracket.
3. Quality of wood is certainly flimsy if I were to use back of the hammer for fitting it
A usual home owner with limited tools and knowledge at his disposable needs to make a lot of trips to Store to buy the right stuff or buy the right tools to make it work - Stud finder, Drill, right anchors and screws etc.

Sturdy product/clean lines but learned that there is metal furring and not wood studs in walls. The shelf fell out of the wall while we were hanging it so not sure I want to risk trying stronger tools. Am thinking may need to return.

I ordered three shelves. One of three arrived in good condition, the other two were dented, unable to hang, so I returned them and ordered two more. Hopefully they will arrive in good condition.
The one shelf I hung while awaiting the other two replacements is a good quality shelf and looks good as hung above a coffee cart in our kitchen. Think I will like the overall look and functionality if the other two shelves work out. Shelf seems solid once hung and easy to hang. Good quality, but not good if cannot get shelves in good condition to hang. Price was competitive compared to same shelf offered elsewhere so others are marking up immensely.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mouriana Looks nice now, had a few problems with install
The shelf seems very sturdy and it looks nice. However, while installing we had 2 problems: first, you have to push the long metal bars inward to be able to mount the shelf on them. That wasn't too bad. Then there was a huge lip inside one of the mounting holes because it wasn't drilled properly. it was deep enough that we couldn't drill it out ourselves, so we had to just pound it on the mounting bars (by hand, since a hammer would have damaged the shelf) until the bars broke the lip and we were able to finish mounting it.

Not the bright white I wanted works for my purposes. Quality is good and it was easy to install.
