How many amps does this use?

Asked by: baker
To find AMPS if you know Watts this says 1700 watts you divide watts by volts 120 Volts ! 1700 divided by 120 = 14.16 Amps ! To find Watts if you know Amps you would x 14.16 X 120 = 1700 Watts

What kind of seal/gasket does this have?

I currently have one of these, have had it for about 6 yrs. I still works fine except for the uneven cooking that has been an issue from the beginning. My problem has been with the rubber gasket on the door. The first one lasted for about 3 yrs, the replacement for about 1.5 yrs. In the last 3 months, I've had 3 new replacement gaskets and each one has lasted for ONE use only. As soon as the oven gets hot & the door is opened, the gasket falls off. The metal hooks that are supposed to hold it in place either pull out of the rubber or they are just too small to stay in the holes made for them. I've glued the clips back in, which would get me one or two uses, but the hooks still would come out of their holes. I need to get another oven, but won't buy another Waring unless they've improved the gasket to one that will actually work! Without a good gasket, the temperature is harder to control and I end up with condensation and grease all over the counter under the oven, so have a huge mess to clean up, especially after cooking 3 lbs of bacon which I do at least once a week.

This model has an improved door gasket design for an extra tight seal.

What are the inside dementions on this unit? Does it have EVEN cooking throughout the unit?
Asked by: cook
It'll fit a half size sheet pan. I believe the interior height may be around 11". Hope this helps. It comes with two racks. I can't say if it does even cooking throughout - we've only had it for a month. We have it at home, not in a commercial setting.

is this fit half size sheet pan? and what is the temperature?

Asked by: Gina
Yes it'll fit a 1/2 size sheet pan. The temp goes up to 500 degrees. There's 2 racks that comes with it so you can bake more than one pan at a time.

Customer Reviews

Professional 1.5 cu. ft. Convection Oven in Silver is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Countertop convection cooking I have owned and used a countertop convection oven daily for the last 20+ years. I previously used a Farberware model that was approximately the same size as this Waring oven but was less expensive but no longer available for purchase. I thought this oven would cook much better than the Farberware but I find the heat in the oven is not even. Items toward the front and to the right of the oven cook more quickly than those to the left and to the rear. Since I generally cook meat in this oven there is usually a certain amount of splatter on the glass door and on the inside sides of the oven. So far I am able to keep the glass door clean with the recommended glass cleaner but I am concerned that it will eventually get caked on grease that I will not be able to remove. The Farberware model had a removeable glass door that conveniently fit in my dishwasher. This Waring model does not have a removeable glass door. Also, I am concerned that the door gasket will eventually need replacement and I can find no where on the internet to purchase parts for this unit. I am 150-200 miles from the nearest listed Waring repair center.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Satisfied i bought this oven for my small business to bake macarons! it did't work for these cookies. I burned the edges with higher temperature, but when you put lower temperature, the macarons were not cooked in side, if you keep them for too long they had brown edges. this oven is not definitely good for making macarons, may be i should try another model. i returned it on 35th day, Home Deport charged me 15% restocking fee.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I wanted. The convection part is a little noisier than expected, but the oven is quality plus--EVERY PART is stainless steel--and is so easy to use. Large enough that I don't burn my fingers getting dishes in and out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mom loves it. My mom has only had it for a month but is very happy with it. Her first priority was that it broils and then the size. This oven goes up to 500 degrees and can hold a half sheet pan size. I read reviews for this machine and a dozen others. Most of the others were more commercial oriented. Most other websites had this oven listed well over $600. Home Depot had the best price, and the best return policy than any other website. Don't think anything will go wrong with it, but at least now we have 90 days instead of the standard 30 days to try it out.
