This is without a doubt the most difficult appliance in my home to program. I want a simple, daily on at 9pm and off at 9am. I just can't seem to get that to program. Any helpful ideas? The instruction sheet is difficult to understand and I have 30+ years understanding the technical details of many Boeing products.
Asked by: John
Thanks for the note, John. We are available 24/7 to help at 800-875-5285. The reason you are having difficulty is that you are trying to spread the programming over 2 days, not one. Most of our customers want the floor heat to be off or very low at night when no one is on the floor so the common programming is for the unit to heat in the morning, cool during the day, heat when people come at night and then cool overnight. The way to accomplish what you want is to set the floor to heat from 12:01 AM to 9AM, and then heat again at 9PM to 11:59. That is how overnight programming is accomplished.

I have an older version and the when the relay activates a loud click is heard. Is this unit make the same sound?
Asked by: calibur
All of our thermostats have a click when activating or deactivating. That sound is a result of the mechanical relay inside them.

What is the highest and lowest setting this thermostat operates at?

I'm and trying to understand the range of operating temp of this thermostat controller. I need to have the air temp at a constant 130 degrees.
Asked by: guy
The maximum settable temperature for Ambient (air) mode is 86, and the highest floor temperature is 104 for tile.

120-Volt / 240-Volt SmartStat Programmable Floor Warming Control is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to Use, Easy to progran Very easy to use and easy to program floor warming control. I use this with my Warmly Yours 120V heating floor pad. This control is very reliable and is great for the fall weather in NY and to program so it is not running all day. I set it 15 mins before i usually wake up in the AM to shower. Has a lightened display for easy use in the dark. Warmly yours is the only product i have seen for use of heated floors. A true industry leader.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple and easy The unit was easy to install with very clear directions. Programming is a breeze and it functions as expected. The only negative is the display is rather dim, you can hit a button to illuminate it but if your walking by it takes more than just a glance to see the temperature. You can set it to either control the floor temp or the ambient (it also limits the floor temp in this mode). All in all it does exactly what is needed.

Both GFCIs in the units installed in my home failed after a number of years, but they were very easy to replace.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent floor heat controller The two piece assembly (front controls remove) fits into a standard 1 gang wall box. This model can either control air temperature or floor temperature. It also can have minimums and maximums on the floor temperature provided the floor temperature probe was installed with the floor. This unit replaced the previous which lasted for 12 years. The GFI gave out on the old one. We live in an area where wind knocks out power in winter storms and glitches have clobbered two other GFI's in the house over the last few years. So I don't blame the unit for that failure. We use this in the master bath where we have a beautiful marble floor which can be really cold in the winter when the power is out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from bummer it was installed in my home by contractor-functioned okay for perhaps 2 weeks-the manueal was left behind so on the weekend it went off & I tried to reprogram it but it would not stay on-I went on line & was given some advice about holding on to the buttons believe me I tried every combination on that manual-it would work sometimes for a couple of hours-making the floors tepid & then it just quit working altogether. it worked ofr maybe 6 weeks at most counts all the hours.
