Hello Singlemomtryingtorelax,
Thank you for your question.
I wouldn't recommend using only this product.
It is not recommended to be left uncovered for any length of time. It's designed to work with the shingles to keep the water away from the wood under lament.

Hi Spg,
This is an asphalt impregnated material and is not approved for under layment of flooring, in addition it would leave a very unpleasant order in the room for a long time.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Absolute Junk I bought five rolls to use as underlayment for a tin roof and before I could start placing the tin it rained. This underlayment got wet one time and as it started to dry it shrank about two inches in places. It has gap at the nails about 1-2" long. I am going to have to redo this before I can go any further. That's a $100 shot. I wouldn't recommend this for anything, it absolute junk as an underlayment if it gets wet. May 16, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product Great product, awesome price and good quality! Used in our Showroom as underlayment for porcelain tile. May 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solid stuff This seems a lot thicker than I remember from the last time I used 15# paper. It lays out nice - no wrinkles. It is definately a good layer of protection for a small price relative to what you pay for the shingles. Only reason I didn't give 5 star quality is I recall a few small thin spots November 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works good just like it should Not much you can say about roof felt. For those who don't know you MUST use roof felt as a barrier between your roofing deck and your shingles. The felt stops the resins in the wood from penetrating and destroying your shingles. I used this felt on a roof and it was easy to install and I am pleased with it. Buy with confidence! March 4, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The product was quite effective. The items were purchased online for in store pickup. I was pleased with the experience. August 14, 2013
