Applied this to an unfinished Beechwood desk from Ikea. Product goes on easy enough and looks very good. You just overload the surface with the liquid, let dry and wipe off excess. Does not completely dry in 2 day time frame per instructions. In fact, it wasnt completely dry after two weeks. Small amounts of the oil would coat my hands. Finally, I took a cloth with a small amount of mineral spirits and rubbed the finish again. This mostly worked as it is finally completely dry and the smell is mostly gone. Make sure you rub off as much oil as possible after applying!

I prefer oil finishes over just about any other. I have used Danish oil for years. Develops a nice sheen when it polymerizes.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Judanne Good product, easy to use and I love the results.
Super product that restored the shine and luster to my 15 year old cabinets throughout my home. I really liked the colors that are available, too. Only complaint was the smell lingered for a few days. Other than that, a really satisfying product to use.

This product is what I expected. It is not what it used to be. In my past experience. It seems kind of watered down, but what isn't these days? My Son wanted it and used it for his BB gun stock. He was happy with the outcome

Very easy to use. Color blended perfectly. I used this on a buffet and china cabinet. It filled in the small scratches. This product worked just as it says. will us for future projects.

I prefer Deft Danish oil for the result that I have obtained on identical cherry pieces that I have finished

I am redoing the floors of a 125 year old house. I did the downstairs floors with polyurethane, and while I'm happy with the results I really wanted a finish that was more in tune with the age of the home. I really didn't want to apply poly again. I looked all over the internet and got mixed reviews on the use of tung oil or Danish oil on floors. Even the bottle of this said not for floors. This is an upstairs office and it will see little wear, so I figured why not try it. I'm very pleased with the results. If you are going to use this on floors be warned that you must wear old clothes because when you crawl around to wipe it off you are going to get messy. Also, be aware that the coverage for floors is not nearly what it states on the bottle. I applied the oil with a small foam roller and applied it exactly as directed. I applied a lot of the product and allowed it to soak in for 1/2 hour then applied more. This wood was dry so it took all the oil. I allowed it to soak in and harden and then I wiped the rest with a clean cloth. The finish is much softer than poly, and obviously it will not take the abuse that poly can, but personally I prefer it. I chose cherry because that is what Home Depot had the most of and I needed quite a bit. I would have preferred to go with a walnut, but I'm still happy with the results. It's more red than I like, but I'm happy with the finish. The best thing about this as opposed to poly is that if there is wear or damage to the finish you can just buff it with 0000 steel wool and reapply. No lap marks and it all blends together!
The biggest negative thing about this product is their lid. It's ridiculous! I bought many tins of this and two of them came off as they should, some came off with a fight and some wouldn't come off at all! I had to poke a hole in the top of the container with a screw driver!
As a side note, I spent quite a bit more because Home Depot by me only carried this in Pint containers. Their competitor across town carries it in gallons (and has a very large selection of colors). Had I went with the gallon I would have spent 1/3 less than I did at Home Depot. That was disappointing to me.
