Hello, i am a midwest farmer, my original purchase was like 4 years ago and the darn thing broke internally. i picked up a second one for replacement and the same piece bent immediately. i promptly returned this item and "Bought the AMERICAN MADE product"..yes it costs twice as much but i don't think i will need to replace it for another 30 to 40 years!

We put these in and have to dig them up after a few years because they leak, freeze and break. We have replaced parts to no avail. While trying to disassemble it to attempt a repair, my wife hit it with a hammer and the blue "metal" broke like a piece of clay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made product My husband and a friend installed 4 of these hydrants in about a day, this included the digging process up to the stabilization process. They are tough pieces that I feel relieved to have in place just before the winter season.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just as I expected The faucet was just as I expected and works fine. In fact I have ordered a second one for another location after receiving the first. We don't live in an area that gets much freezing weather but it does happen so I didn't want to have to bother with wrapping my faucets in the winter which made them unusable until spring. Now I can use them year round when I need. The 1 foot bury depth worked just fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should have bought one many years ago Freezing temperatures, although never very severe, have caused much damage; and so the effective disconnecting the water below the frost line is ideal.
