How much pressure does it take to open the check valve?

Asked by: Ianh
I live in the Detroit MI area - so I'm guessing here . . . . city pressure ? I'm on city water. Hopes this helps you.

3/4 in. Brass Check Valve is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best value for my application I used this valve in a water back-up sump pump application for the supply line. It seems to work great and was the best value I could find. Home depot should carry this " In Store " rather than only online. One piece of advice here - splurge on the teflon tape and use the higher quality one. It's worth the couple of extra bucks.
