Product Overview

This pre-charged Water Worker 62 Gal. Pressurized Well Tank is designed as a direct-fit replacement for the majority of installed well tank bases and will maintain its air charge for years to offer you easy upkeep. The tank's deep-drawn steel construction and stainless-steel waterway lining provide excellent durability, while the tank's polypropylene liner separates water from the steel shell to help prevent taste or odor from being absorbed into the water.

  • Designed as a direct-fit replacement for the majority of installed well tank bases
  • Constructed of deep-drawn steel for durability
  • Polypropylene-lined steel supports water weight to ensure water never sits in loose-fitting vinyl or rubber bags that can fold, crease and wear
  • NSF certified
  • Polypropylene liner separates water from the steel shell to prevent taste or odor from being absorbed into the water, formed liner fits the steel shell for added durability
  • Sizing - count the number of water fixtures in and outside the home and multiply that # by 3; fixtures include faucets, spickets, shower heads, dish washer, washing machine, etc. for hot tubs and sprinkler systems add 1 to 2 fixtures for each; there are no disadvantages to having a larger well tank as fewer pump cycles will extend pump life and save money on electricity
  • Stainless-steel waterway lining has no plastic to cross-thread, strip or crack
  • Thick diaphragm keeps water separate from pre-charged air and helps to reduce air loss
  • Molded diaphragm offers an ideal fit, sits on top of the water and will not fold, crease or drag against the steel shell
  • 62 Gal. total volume provides ample capacity
  • Pre-charged to 38 psig; 100 psig maximum working pressure
  • Maintains air charge for years to provide easy upkeep
  • 2-part water-based paint system sprayed over a durable 2-part epoxy primer provides corrosion resistance and safe paint covering
  • 1-1/4 in. NPTF system connection uses malleable iron for dependability

Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot, Mac. There are factors involved in pricing of these tanks other than simply size. We consult with the vendor on factors such as supply, numbers manufactured, and average pricing nationwide. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. There were a few dents with chips in the paint in the system that were evident of the tank being dropped or hit pretty hard, the bottom rim was also bent and scratched. The connection on the bottom came with a plastic cap that had a hole, not sure if it was supposed to help prevent rust (which had started to form inside of the pipe), or if it is just to prevent paint during the spray process. I would add pictures but they aren't the correct format to be uploaded.

Easy install...Pre-charged - but I increase by 2 lbs since I was setting it up for a 40-60 cycle. Arrived with good instructions - but I was already familiar with installing this type of unit. Works great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value compared to Plumbing Houses Tank seems comparable to Welltrol but lacks output pipe, which cannot be sourced elsewhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product This tank is a much larger upgrade from the 42 gal. tank it replaces. The only issue was that the fitting at the bottom is 1 1/4" and not the 1" the average t-pipe is. So be sure to get the necessary PVC adapter to reduce it to the proper thread size. Also be aware that if you do not use the proper adapter fittings, the T-pipe may not extend out enough for the pressure switch to clear the tank enough so you can be able to take the pressure switch cover off for wiring. Other than that, it was a slick install. With 5 people in my house taking showers, you don't even feel the water pressure change like we did before. Great tank.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much larger than tank I replaced. Old tank was 34 gallons; this one is 62 Gallons. Only drawback was that on the box, it indicated a 16" T required, so I purchased it. Actually, a 14" T would have worked, for me, and still would have had plenty of clearance. No big deal; just a little more expensive and I didn't want to waste time to take it back. If using old pipes, make sure that you tape them very well to prevent leakage. To be honest, I have not heard or felt the pump turn on while using shower or bath. Which based on other reviews may lead to a small reduction in energy costs. We can only hope. In addition to Home Depot's MUCH APPRECIATED 10% Military Discount offered, the other reviews were extremely helpful in making my decision to purchase this item. Also, this item was much more expensive on their competitor's website. Check it out, you will see the difference in price for the same item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality pressure tank made in USA, YES Received on time, installed easy and fit in same space as my smaller tank. Made the world of difference in the whole house, can now use more than one spicket at a time. Would recommend, has good quality and of course is made in the USA.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good product poor shipping seems to be a good product. time will tell how well it holds up. although i opened the box to check for damage to the product in the store, when i removed product at home to install i found the base to be dented. i had waited 10 plus days for the product after ordering and did not want to wait another 10 plus days for another so tried to repair dent so tank would sit flat on well house floor. if ordering this product, i suggest careful examination of product before taking home from store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replaced a smaller tank that had failed. Install of the tank was easy, the hard part was replacing/upgrading existing plumbing.
