PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Model # HT86B

Internet # 202846487

The Water Worker 86-Gallon Pressurized Well Tank features a steel shell to support the water weight, a polypropylene liner to help prevent taste or odor from being absorbed into the water and a thick diaphragm that keeps water separate from pre-charged air and helps to reduce air loss. This tank is designed as a direct-fit replacement for the majority of installed well tank bases, and the tank's deep-drawn steel construction offers excellent durability.

  • Designed as a direct-fit replacement for the majority of installed well tank bases
  • Constructed of deep-drawn steel for durability
  • Polypropylene-lined steel supports water weight to ensure water never sits in loose-fitting vinyl or rubber bags that can fold, crease and wear
  • NSF certified
  • Polypropylene liner separates water from the steel shell to prevent taste or odor from being absorbed into the water. Polypropylene liner does not require scheduled replacements for long-lasting use. Formed liner fits the steel shell for added durability
  • Sizing - Count the number of water fixtures in and outside the home and multiply that # by 3. Fixtures include faucets, spickets, shower heads, dish washer, washing machine, etc. For hot tubs and sprinkler systems add 1 to 2 fixtures for each. There are no disadvantages to having a larger well tank as fewer pump cycles will extend pump life and save money on electricity. Tank stores a buffer of water in case of power outage
  • Made in the USA
  • Stainless-steel waterway lining has no plastic to cross-thread, strip or crack
  • Thick diaphragm keeps water separate from pre-charged air and helps to reduce air loss
  • Molded diaphragm offers an ideal fit, sits on top of the water and will not fold, crease or drag against the steel shell
  • 86 gallons of total volume; plain or galvanized tank equivalent of 220 gallons
  • Pre-charged to 38 psig; 100 psig maximum working pressure
  • Maintains air charge for years to provide easy upkeep
  • 2-part water-based paint system sprayed over a durable 2-part epoxy primer provides corrosion resistance and safe paint covering
  • 1-1/4 in. NPTF system connection uses malleable iron for dependability
  • Made in USA

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 60 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It's Huge! Heavy duty diaphragm construction. This is one big pressure tank. Our well used to run every 45 seconds with the shower running. Now it runs every 8 minutes! The only gotchas that I ran into during installation were that I needed an 6" extension for my tank tee since this thing has a greater diameter. Secondly, the tank connection elbow is 1-1/4" FPT not the 1" size that I had and coincidentally is listed on the instruction booklet. A simple 1-1/4" x 1" steel bushing did the trick but it was an inconvenience to have to wait for the hardware store to open with my water system torn apart halfway through the installation. Nevertheless, this seems to be a really nice, BIG, pressure tank for the price. As long as it holds up I will be happy. February 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I should have bought this sooner. I replace an old air over water tank with this pressurized tank. The old tank had no provision for complete draining and thus never had much of an air space; my pump would cycle after only a few gallons of usage. This new tank works great. I picked mine up at the local store, and it was in perfect condition. It did take several weeks after my order to be shipped to the store from the manufacturer in RI. This size tank does need a 14-inch long T-fitting. I recommend getting a fitting with a flanged connection to make assembly easier. The Home Depot price was very competitive. February 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value The tank is a very good value. My biggest gripe is the fist sized dent that was in it. I decided to just live with it since I didn't want my water system down even longer to wait for a replacement. Plus, there is nothing but a box around it with no styrofoam so it's no wonder it had a dent. A second one would probably have a dent also. Regardless, the tank has been a great addition to our well system. We had a 20gal so I plumbed this one into the system so I had both. We went for pump run times of 16sec to a little over 2min. Worries of pump short cycling are gone and the drawdown is dramatically improved as one would expect. Well worth the cost for us. August 13, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't take a dented tank I'm surprised at the number of reviewers who will accept a dented tank because it " doesn't affect its use". Please people consider a dented tank might have paint damage on the INSIDE of the tank that might rust through cutting the life span considerably. If not damaged it's probably a good tank. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by water tank ? This tank says it has a 3 year warranty. This is my 3rd tank in 15 years. The first one lasted nearly 10 years and the bottom rusted out. The 2nd tank lasted less than 3 years and it rusted through. Now i have the new one, lets see if it makes it 3yrs March 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product This is a great tank. I did have to get a reducer just like every one else. This tank is about exact to the old one in every way . Would recommend this tank very good. thanks Brent March 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product High quality, easy to follow installation instructions (clear and understandable English), and has functioned well since installation (about a month). Instructions helped describe how to connect to the water pressure tank and set the correct tank pressure for the water pump pressure. Another MADE IN AMERICA quality product. September 6, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good value for the cost Tank came in a cardboard box with no other support for such a large item and weight. The tank install was easy and tank is working great. February 18, 2014
