About all it does is kink up. It's great if you need a hose that kinks up. If you are looking for one that works, purchase something else.

I have used this hose for the last two month. No problem with kinks. It's a solid hose a little heavy but I am satisfied.

Answer:
With any hose it is important when you first bring it home to unroll it completely and let it sit in the sun for a few hours. That helps to release the "memory" it has of being in a coil. Once you do this it should be ready to use and resist kinking. Thanks for the question!

When first unrolling the hose it seems to kink easily & get frustrating ... however, after it was stretched & in use for a couple of days it kinks less then do most of the cheaper hoses.
That's my experience anyway!

Yes, they have normal hose connectors (male on one end, female on the other) that can connect multiple hoses together. I have 6 of them connected and get decent water pressure.

Customer Reviews

5/8 in. Dia. x 100 ft. Contractor Grade Garden Hose is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 89.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Should have read the reviews...an impulse buy After uncoiling it yesterday, reeling it onto the hose cart, and connecting it to the hose bib, I was experiencing the same issues regarding kinking, and now with house water pressure, the faulty female connection point - unacceptable. I went garbage diving to retrieve the label to pack up and return it for credit on a real hose. Please do not waste your time!!! The 100-foot length, the red pinstripe on graphite color, and the big gold connector look great, and if you dont need the hose to actually function, except for a house and garden photo shoot, its an awesome 'contractor grade' buy for less than $20.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke before I could even use it. I bought two of these hoses, but the first one broke before I could even use it once. I returned the broken hose and the unopened hose to the store. I was about to wash the cars, so I got the new hoses out. I opened up and unravelled one of the hoses, then hooked it up to the hose bib on the house. When I screwed the watering nozzle on to the other end, the screw top cracked apart at the little hex piece. When I turned on the water, it immediately leaked out from below where the nozzle was screwed on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wish I'd read the reviews first I concur with the others who say this hose does NOT meet the marketed expectations - that it's a "contractor grade" hose. Tough thing is that the word "contractor" is ambigious, and there's no standard for what makes a hose (or anything) contractor-grade. But people generally have expectations of contractor-grade equipment or items being more durable and of better quality that general merchandise marketed as standard or consumer quality. This item is absolutely NOT. It does leak badly at the supply end and kinks at the slightest tug. Don't expect much if you buy, but if you expect contractor quality - spend the extra money and aget what you pay for.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Value for What I Paid Connection to the spigot is very good (no leaks) but crinkling is bad, which I wouldn't have expected from a hose that retails for as much as this one did (I got it at a greatly reduced sales price). Not a bad deal for what I paid. I took the advice of a reviewer of another hose and stretched it out and let the sun 'bake' it for a few days and kinking isn't nearly as bad, though I still have problems at times.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK for the money, it is what it is. I give it a tentative recommendation, it depends on your needs. I returned the 100 ft. brown "medium duty" hose that HD had for $14 a few weeks back, because it was just terrible, kinking every time I tried to use it. I didn't want to lay out $40-50 for a really good hose, so gave this a try. First off, "commercial grade", "contractor grade", or whatever, is just silly. Pure marketing with no real meaning. Pros: Price, price, price. Also, has excellent hose ends that connect nicely and are easy to tighten. some kinking, but overall pretty manageable. Not overly heavy like a rubber hose would be. Cons: Does kink a bit. Despite Lifetime Warranty, does not seem to be the most durable hose, but it may work out to be a good long term purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Buy Easily, this is one of the best buys ever. The hose has solid brass fittings and the hose is of excellent construction. It is also quite attractive, as far as hoses go. I purchased four of them and could not be more pleased.
Date published: 2016-08-16
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good value for the money For the price you can't beat it. It kinks fairly easy but that is easy to overlook when you consider price. I have 2.5 acres and two 100 footers take me almost anywhere on the property.
