You can contact Customer Service,
Swan

Marion, Ohio 43302
or call 800-848-8707
But first check if the hose just needs a new replacement washer. Sometimes due to the hardness of the water they leak rather quickly and is not the problem of the actual water hose itself. Just a possibility.

I would say yes, thou I haven't as of yet. I know it works with sprayers like the ones you mix Miracle Grow.
Just make sure there is a gasket inside, and throw some plumbers tape around the threads of the hose for a snug fit. Clean all tape off after each use.
Hope this is helpful.

The FlexRITEs that I have tried (50, 75, 100ft.) have not shown a tendency to kink so far. Hoses that kink usually have a thin wall that is easy to bend. The FlexRITE are about 3x thicker than most cheaper hoses.

Answer:
The fittings are NOT lead. As far as I know, that's what makes drinking water from a hose bad for you. I would guess this hose is okay for drinking water out of, but it doesn't say so in the product details. I have seen some hoses that DO actually say that they're safe to drink out of, but I would think this one would be fine.

While the 100' FlexRITE hose meets all Prop 65 requirements for lead, the hoses at Home Depot that designed for drinking water are in the Element line. Home Depot carries a number of drinking water safe Element hoses.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hose survives Texas heat! This hose has excellent coupling attachments - large and easy to put on and take off - you can use your entire hand and not just your fingertips. It is a heavy hose. When I first started to uncoil it I had a hard time. It was a bit like fighting a python snake to uncoil it. After I got it uncoiled I let it sit outside in the Texas heat for two days - that is important - the hose got much easier to handle and not fight you because of stiffness. It is now easier to pull around and you can tell it will last a long time. So far I have had zero kinks - good sign. Looks like this hose will last many years. There ya go! July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HEAVY DUTY Made in America this hose has the feel of quality. Heavy crush proof brass fittings and with a 400 PSI burst rating. This is a heavy hose, much heavier than any I've ever owned. It comes with a limited lifetime warranty. The brass fittings are oversize giving you the ability to get a good grip to tighten things to keep leaks and drips minimized or stopped. It is heavy to move around when full so it's not great for lightweight yard work, but excellent for those necessary long runs. It's much easier to deal with when empty and the hose is heated up over 70 degrees to make it more flexible. This will be an excellent hose to have and hopefully never worry about replacing for a long time. July 25, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great hose! This is a great hose, it's sturdy and not too heavy. At first, it does kink a lot. I think it's because it comes so tightly coiled. But, after you stretch it some, it doesn't kink as much. It's not completely kink free, but it does resist it somewhat. I'd imagine with a hose reel, there wouldn't really be many problems with this. It connects well and easily to the faucet, little to no effort there! Our yard is small, and we thought our 50 ft hose would have been long enough, but you should definitely get a longer hose that you think! Don't underestimate your needs, a longer hose means you can get around objects without much effort. June 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Heavy duty 100 ft garden hose I have several vegetable gardens, fruit trees, flower gardens, flowering bushes and livestock and a 100 ft. garden hose is a necessity for me to take care of watering needs. I wanted a heavy duty garden hose to withstand being drug around the areas where I need to water and this hose will fit the bill. It is a bit heavy at first but with time I will get used to the heavier weight. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Now I can reach around my house. I would recommend FlexRite heavy duty Garden Hose. I am very happy with how long this hose is. I now can reach from the back of my house to the front without adding hoses. 400 psi for high pressure. Solid build made to last. Reinforced ends for added strength. Heavy duty couplings hook up easy. It was rolled up when it arrived, I just laid it in the back yard in the sun for a few minutes and it laid flat. Easy to handle and roll up. July 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Large connector and lightweight I love the large connector, it's thicker, easier to grip and easy to turn. It's so much better than the old smaller, thin metal connectors, plus it will not warp out of shape if you accidentally step on it. The hose is lightweight and is thinner than some other 100' hoses which is a welcomed change since this one is so much easier to pull out and reel back in, even when full of water. It will twist kink fairly easily, especially when empty so I recommend turning on the hose before you wind and unwind it and you'll have better luck avoiding kinks (I know I did). I like that this hose is lightweight yet still heavy duty. May 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to use garden hose This review is for the FlexRite Heavy Duty 100’ x 5/8” garden hose. When I was granted the opportunity to try out the FlexRite hose I installed it in place of a different 100’ hose that I had tried. The previous 100’ hose kinked too much to use with my traveling sprinkler. While the FlexRite hose is not marketed as “kink free”, I have found it to be less kink prone than the previous 100’ hose. I store the FlexRite on a wall mounted hose reel and the hose winds and unwinds without undue problems (see photos below). Those who require an absolute "kink free" may want to find a hose that is marketed as such; I find the FlexRite to be "close enough". YMMV. The 5/8” FlexRite is light (lighter than a comparable “kink free” hose I have attached to a different faucet, anyway). The FlexRite hose is lead free, has a burst strength of 400+ PSI, and comes with a limited lifetime warranty. The female fitting is an oversized brass unit that allows for a good hand grip. Attaching the hose to a faucet when your hands are wet is much easier with the oversized couplers. (See photos below). The instructions that came on the packaging recommend unwinding the hose completely, running some water through it, and then allowing it lie on the ground for a while before mounting the hose on a reel. The FlexRite works well for me – it lies flat once deployed and I have had no problems in using it with my traveling sprinkler or filling the watering can, etc. I can’t comment on its usage in washing cars, I’ve not used it for that. HTH Regards, Jim July 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks like you could fight a fire with this hose I have seen a lot of so called heavy duty, industrial strength garden hoses but usually it was just a way to charge more for a hose. But not so with the 5/8 in. Flexrite hose. When you first pick it up you notice the weight indicating the hose has heavy side walls and heavy duty fittings. Then when you look at the hose ends you know you have something special. The fittings are larger than most which makes it easier to connect and disconnect. The hose is rated at 400 PSI and you may ask why do I need that much pressure. Think about your hose laying on your concrete driveway, in the blazing sun and along comes a car which runs over your hose. Believe me you will be glad you have the 400 PSI rating. I got the 100 ft hose so that I wouldn't have to worry with connections between shorter hoses. I recommend you get a hose real from Home Depot to make it easier to store your hose when you are done. I have included a couple of shots showing my hose hooked up next to my older less feature rich hose. June 15, 2016
