Polyethylene tubing is odorless, tasteless, flexible, lightweight and easy to handle and cut. It has excellent resistance to many solvents, acids, alkalis, and fuels. The milky-white color allows fluid levels to be visually monitored. Polyethylene naturally resists cracking which makes it an excellent drinking water or pneumatic control line.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 2.7 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by this product was just what I was expecting and looking for it was more than enough material for what I purchased for the price. Excellent performance and it was just what I was looking for March 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by It works without a problem. Bought this about a month ago and it works without a hitch. However, I also initially experienced the problem some user did (i.e., tube bursting). Turned out that the problem is not the tube itself. The tube that bursts (exactly as described by many reviewer) is in reality the PVC tubing (item SVEBxx) instead of the Polyethylene (item SPEBxx). The PVC tubing is perfectly clear, but only rated 55PSI; this is not quite clear (overall color tends to a pale white), but is rated 165PSI (the one I found in store said 150PSI). Turned out that the two types of tube end up getting mixed in the store bins, so if you're not careful you can get the wrong type. To me, it has worked so far. I use it on a line controlled by a solenoid valve: every time the valve cycles, the tubing is subject to pressure surges; yet, in a month it didn't deform, developed a leak or any other defect despite going through several hundreds valve cycles. Rated 4 out of 5 by Easy to buy and set up I will know more after our southern winter is over, but I wanted a convenient place to put my potted plants when the temperatures fall below freezing. I am hoping this mini-greenhouse will protect them to 15 degrees F. The greenhouse was very easy to assemble. I have not yet tried putting it back in the box. That could be a puzzle challenge. The ordering process was great and avoided going to the store. Overall, so far, I am pleased. October 30, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Garbage Agree with the above reviewer. I installed this product behind the refrigerator and it has sprung a leak twice creating a mess both times. I also have a 3/8" tubing teed to the 1/4", which has not had a leak thus far. Therefore, I will be replacing the 1/4" tubing with 3/8" using Watts reducing unions. April 23, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by spend a little more and find a better quality water line Three days after installing this water line it sprung a leak 9" from the valve. Specs say this tubing has a working pressure of 165 psi and yet my 85 psi service caused failure after 3 days. Spend the time and a little extra money to find a better quality product and you will save the cost of clean up and water damage repair. March 10, 2014
