Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BNGI It works without a problem.
Bought this about a month ago and it works without a hitch. However, I also initially experienced the problem some user did (i.e., tube bursting). Turned out that the problem is not the tube itself. The tube that bursts (exactly as described by many reviewer) is in reality the PVC tubing (item SVEBxx) instead of the Polyethylene (item SPEBxx). The PVC tubing is perfectly clear, but only rated 55PSI; this is not quite clear (overall color tends to a pale white), but is rated 165PSI (the one I found in store said 150PSI). Turned out that the two types of tube end up getting mixed in the store bins, so if you're not careful you can get the wrong type.
To me, it has worked so far. I use it on a line controlled by a solenoid valve: every time the valve cycles, the tubing is subject to pressure surges; yet, in a month it didn't deform, developed a leak or any other defect despite going through several hundreds valve cycles.

The Ice maker 1/4 poly supply line, while all where away on vacation, decided to spring a pinhole leak. Came home to find an absolute catastrophe. 3 floors of destruction.
The poly pipe is not bent, cut, discolored or marked in any way. Bad quality control.
I'm going to have this pipe inspected by a pro so that I can recover my Ins. Deductible

Let me try this again, first post was rejected by Home Depot. The plumbing manager at my Home Depot told me they encourage people NOT to use this, I wish I recored that conversation. 4 times over 12 months I got pin holes and water damage. Unfortunately I used a lot of this stuff. I called Watts also, they were nice enough and sending me braided lines for free for my damage and hassle. I wish I read all the reviews here, there are many people complaining of same thing. It's plastic made in China. So if water on floor is important not to happen, do not use this stuff. Not sure why Home Depot will not post this, it's fact. I left my phone number with Manager at Laguna Niguel Home depot if anyone wants to contact me. This is really bad stuff and could potentially do a lot of damage and in fact has if you just read other reviews.

This type of tubing is near worthless for any water line hook-up. I had a massive leak behind my refrigerator causing replacement of flooring, etc. It was a very fine pinhole leak over many months. The leak was at a bend in the tubing near the wall shut-off valve. Replaced the bend area with 90 degree compression fittings (which were not easy to match) at the bend at the bottom and the top. Thought everything was fine. Now another leak developed (another pinhole, about 18 months later) underneath the refrigerator (Kitchen-Aide built in, another poorly designed product), causing the same problem (destroyed wood floor, etc.). This piece didn't even have a kink, it just sprung a leak. Never use this stuff. Flexible stainless steel high pressure line is the way to go.

No, it was not the PVC tubing that I installed, but this product. The leaks occurred over some years years under house pressure. As I stated, the 3/8" is fine.

Agree with the above reviewer. I installed this product behind the refrigerator and it has sprung a leak twice creating a mess both times. I also have a 3/8" tubing teed to the 1/4", which has not had a leak thus far. Therefore, I will be replacing the 1/4" tubing with 3/8" using Watts reducing unions.

I will know more after our southern winter is over, but I wanted a convenient place to put my potted plants when the temperatures fall below freezing. I am hoping this mini-greenhouse will protect them to 15 degrees F. The greenhouse was very easy to assemble. I have not yet tried putting it back in the box. That could be a puzzle challenge. The ordering process was great and avoided going to the store. Overall, so far, I am pleased.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by AllWet Terrible - Sprung links after 3 days
Deserves a NEGATIVE 10 rating.
Installed under kitchen sink to connect the new ice maker water filter purchased from Home Depot. The filter is great. However, after 3 days, the tubing sprung 3 pin hole size leaks 1/4 inch behind the connector on top of the internal furl. It ruined the base and edge of the cabinet. I should have used the steel reinforced lines with preattached connectors (like the ones for the sinks) but these have to be special ordered (did not know they even existed for the ice maker in 1/4 size).
Terrible, terrible experience. Will never buy another Watts product again. A ten dollar kit will cost several hundred dollars in repairs. Will be contacting local Home Depot manager for help.
