When you choose this lead-free stainless steel braided supply line, you're choosing a product that starts with an extruded core of PVC tubing. The core is then over-braided with polyester yarn and another layer of PVC material. The final layer consists of stainless steel braid to form a strong, yet flexible supply line. Brass nuts on both ends ensure a solid connection on the inlet and outlet ends.

California residents: see  Proposition 65 information

  • Stainless steel braiding over braided PVC for strength
  • Use to connect your water heater to the water supply
  • Solid brass pipe thread on both ends
  • Maximum working pressure 125 psi

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing product - end of story Failed after 18 months. White crumbly bits fell out of the hose when we removed it -the inner hose itself is completely dissolving. After 18 months? Ridiculous. I will be replacing this with a corrugated stainless line -no crumbly vinyl? tube inside. November 4, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Sprung leak do not buy. This product (Watts Braided hose) failed after 4 years of use. DO NOT USE with water heater. It looks heavy duty but it is not. I've switched to corrugated stainless steel for applications where I need a flexible line. Lucky a family member heard the leak just before bedtime. Otherwise we would have woken up to flooded mess. The hose sprung a leak about 1" from the fitting. The braided steel outside makes it look heavy duty, the reason I bought it. It's nothing more than a rubber hose made to look like industrial grade hose. GARBAGE!!! June 3, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Leaked after 31/2 years. Installed 2 of these on my water heater, they both burst after 31/2 years, unfortunately i had to buy the same brand to replace them because it was the only type I could find that would fit, 1" x 1' , will have to replace them again in a few years or move. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best product for the lowest $$ You will not find a better deal on a 1" flex connector. Check your local plumbing supply for a 1" flex, you will find the cheapest-quality connectors starting at over $25/ft or $22/half foot. These braided steel connectors have Brass ends and are extremely good quality. Braided steel also flexes much easier without any effort compared to all metal connectors. Being brass ends, they are fully compatible to any (water) pipes you are connecting. July 9, 2013
