PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Model # LF BK LBF-18

Internet # 202267229

Store SKU # 581553

When you choose this lead-free stainless steel braided supply line, you're choosing a product that starts with an extruded core of PVC tubing. The core is then over-braided with polyester yarn and another layer of PVC material. The final layer consists of stainless steel braid to form a strong, yet flexible supply line. Brass nuts on both ends ensure a solid connection on the inlet and outlet ends.

California residents: see  Proposition 65 information

  • Stainless steel braiding over braided PVC for strength
  • Use to connect your water heater to the water supply
  • Solid brass pipe thread on both ends
  • Maximum working pressure 125 psi

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 2.9 out of 5 by 16 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Absolute junk. Failed after 4 years This Watts hose was connected between 2 water heaters 4 years ago and last night the hose failed where the braiding meets the hex nut. Water hissing out onto the floor below and dripped through the wall downstairs. September 23, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Warning!!! These hoses are very poor quality and will typically leak within a short period of time, often causing extensive water damage. DO NOT USE, I will be contacting Watts, Loews and Home Depot, April 7, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Leaking after a year My mom had this connecting her water heater to the piping to take the water upstairs. She called me frantically this weekend saying her basement was flooding. I ran over and luckily I live close because the hose failed where the braided line meets the metal hexagonal piping part. Sprayed all over the utility room. WORST. March 16, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great purchase to help solve leaking hotwater heater Was very easy to remove old line that was leaking to replace with a new one to stop the leak from the hotwater heatre. Great product for the price. This connects to a coupling so that you DO NOT have to heat to install. January 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Replacement Follow the directions. Hand tighten until tight, 1/4 turn with a wrench. Be sure to use Thread Seal Tape for added water tightness. Just a thought, the hot side connector usually fails due to the heat from the exhaust pipe breaking down the plastic inside the braid. It starts with a spray, then turns into a flood. If it's not the connectors, it's the tank itself. Put a water alarm on the floor by the water heater where water might pool for added protection and change battery yearly. Some things are learned the hard way! February 12, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Watts 18" Braided Water Heater Hoses #66213318 I purchased two of these hoses in Sept. 2009. On Dec.18, 2014, the hose connected to the HOT side sprung a leak, just above the crimped coupling. HOT water everywhere. My house was like a Sauna when I got home. DO NOT use these supply hoses. The Model # is 66213318 December 23, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 18 in braided stainless water heater connector I have had to replace three of these 18 in braided stainless steel water heater connectors in the last two 2 years they are junk I am going to replace all the rest I have be fore they go bad. I got 10 more to go. Glen November 17, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Started leaking after the warranty ran out! Anything that is meant for a water heater installation should last as long as the water heater. The COLD water supply connector began leaking, spraying water and flooding my garage. November 16, 2014
