I am writing this review, two years after purchase of hoses.......
08/25/2016, I thought my washer had gone out and I was prepared to purchase a new washer.
I paid the same price of $28 for these hoses two years ago. I just picked up the first set of hoses that I saw. Due to I had problems with one hose in 2014. I checked the hoses first. No water was passing through the hose from the faucet to the bucket. I turned the water off. I removed the hose. I could back blow air through. So, I put the hose back together with the washer and turned the water on and again, no water would enter the washer. I swapped the cold water hose, with the hot water hose and washer was up and running again. Two years ago, I drilled out the anti flood/cut off valve in the one hose, due to the same problem.. I don't usually use hot water, so I took the hose I drilled out then and put it on the cold water side now.
The hoses will probably last a life time, but don't buy the anti flood hoses.

you will regret it if you buy these, I have many times had to unlock them from their shutoff state. this requires turning off the water and removing the hose at the valve end. today I am replacing these hoses with normal ones. you have been warned.

Good in theory but the device is way, way too sensitive to be of any real added value. The hoses constantly required resetting which entails removing them from the washing machine hose bibs. Very aggravating to say the least. You're better off investing in a good shutoff switch valve for the washing machine water supplies.

My new samsung washer requires that any floodsafe valve must be removed from the water supply lines. There are no instructions from this hose manufacturer on how to remove the floodsafe valve.
So this product doesn't work with samsung washer.
I tried to use it anyway and it blocks water flow to the washer, so back it goes to Home Depot.
Defective design, I.M.H.O.
The packaging of this product should be changed to warn customers that it only works on select washers.

Just installed these. No hot water flow and reduced cold water flow. Back they go. Replaced similar hose without hose break protection. They were fine.

Every time the machine turns on, the auto shut off activates thus eliminating it's usefulness.
Nice hoses, but does not work well.

Purchased these thinking the higher price would provide higher quality. Couldn't have been more wrong. SS hoses are very good idea but these hoses have a "safety" shut off that is to prevent flooding in the even the hoses burst or the valve in the washing machine breaks. The problem is this stupid design shuts off the water supply needlessly. And when it does if you're lucky your washing machine will shut off and not be damaged. In my case my washing machine just stopped working. The reason for the shut down was I was on vacation for a week and shut off the house water while I was gone. When this happens I get air in my lines when the pressure drops and when water turned back on the air is pushed out. This results in the shut off of these supply hoses and I have to disconnect them and drain the lines several times before they work again.
