I ordered two of these for our bathroom. They are light and easy to install and it is nice that they are made out of recycled material, however, they are LITERALLY paper shelves. They get damaged easily and are not very polished, you can see brown paper lines on the edges. One of the two I received was bent on all edges upon arrival, even in the packaging so I do not think that these would hold up well in a high-use situation. I would recommend these for office, dorm, or kids room use instead of someplace you want something that looks nice. Also, they are a VERY dull white, not bright white at all.

While the mounting method which Waybasics devised for this shelf seems theoretically easy and quite logical, the execution is clearly flawed. The mounting plate has slots for eight screws (4 columns of 2 screws each). In each column of two screws, the two screws are impractically close to each other vertically, which winds up creating a lot of stress on the wall...so much stress that the shelf tore off when only putting about 15 pounds on it. I wound up with very large cracks that I needed to spackle and redo the mounting job in a different location. After the big crash, my handyman decided that, instead of using all 8 screws, he used 1 screw in each of the four columns (alternating in a zig-zag fashion). Unfortunately, even with my handyman's ingenuity, the shelf still does not hold very much weight -- the top slants noticeably downward with about 6 pounds of pressure. From a design perspective, when the shelf is placed on the pegs, it appears that the shelf is not particularly flush with the wall. So, off the bat, the shelf is already falling under its own weight.
