This is a great pump. Installation was quick and easy and pulled water from the basin quickly following the install. Very happy with product.
Making the online purchase through Home Depot was terrible. The purchase was denied 3 times using 2 different credit cards before finally being approved. No issue with the cards, but suspect Home Depot didn't know how to process the new credit cards with security chips. I was finally able to purchase the pump using a credit card without the new security chip.

I can't give this pump a complete review because I have had the flooding condition once since I installed it. Installation was no problem. Results were what I had hoped for.
Considering that the installation will only be use to control flooding in the back yard, I used ABS pipe connected by flexible joints instead of using permanent glue connections. This pump is very fast in removing the water from the sump area. I set a 12 inch by 12 inch stepping stone where I thought the water would flush to avoid having the pumped water dig a hole while it was operating.
NOTE: I did glue the first 90 degree connection after screwing the drain line to the pump.

I actually bought this for our pond. We live in SW Florida and with the thunderstorms we get the pond sometimes over flows. I tried it the other day for 8hrs. and it lowered the pond at least 2-3 inches.

This is my third pump that I am using in the basement. I had other two pumps with different brands were died after 5 years
apart. It was very easy to hook up and running and very quiet. I like it a lot.

I bought this because of the heavy cast-iron construction and because it was the same size and shape as the pump I was replacing, so I wouldn't have to make any modifications to the outflow pipe. Installed in just a few minutes. I like that it's manufactured in the United States. The real test will be how it's working in a few years. I purchased this because of the outstanding reviews and great price and construction.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Vince You can tell this thing is heavy duty - great price, fast shipping
It's impossible to review a sump pump properly until you've had one last a few years, especially if it's running a lot.
All I can say is that you can tell this thing is very well made, 1/2 hp is plenty of power for 90% of home applications, and for $140 shipped it's a no brainer.
Cast iron is the way to go. Wayne makes good stuff. Also it has sufficiently tall (~1 inch) feet at the bottom in case anyone was wondering, so there's no need to put it on bricks/pavers.
Also (and I'm not 100% sure about this) - it does seem to let some of the water pass back through when not using a check valve - which is a good thing. I chose not to use a check valve since I don't want water sitting there and freezing, and it does seem to let that small amount of water pass back through, which I don't think all pumps do.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by kleonsey Easy to install, plenty of power, and much quieter than the one it replaced
I was just being cautious replacing the one put in by the builder 11 years ago. A plumber friend advised me that the caution was well-founded especially since it runs OFTEN. I bought this brand on his recommendation. He installed it in no time and I saved the old one as a backup in case the water level alarm I bought at his suggestion ever sounds off, i.e. signaling a pump failure. The main thing I noticed was how quiet this pump is. My home office is right above the sump pump well and the old pump was clearly heard in my office and pretty much anywhere on the main floor. The only sound I hear in my office now is the whoosh of water in the outlet pipe and that only barely. I cannot help thinking a quiet pump (less noise and vibration) will last longer than a noisy one with a lot of vibration.
