Installed easily, on/off float valve works nicely. I like the cast iron as opposed to plastic.

The box was beat up but the pump was fine. I had a slight problem with the level switch. It stuck when I first tried it. I operated the switch by had about 20 times and it quit hanging up. The switch did not turn the pump off at first. It works great now.

Purchased on-line via Home Depot. Arrived the next day. All aspects of this is top-notch. Looks like a Zoeller, but a much better price. The float is attached at the bottom, so it won't bounce around and hit the sides. Very quiet, sucks up the water is 5-6 seconds. Use it also for clothes washing machine discharge, but remember to place a steel mesh 'stock" on the end of the discharge hose to catch any lint. Avoid using hot water setting on the washer. Their website actually answered two on-line questions very quickly. The low 1/3 hp is all I need and will not trip any GFI.

I have a low spot in my yard that ponds during heavy rain. I researched putting in a sump pump by watching on-line videos. I installed a 6" catch basin in the area and plumbed it to a Home Depot bucket, buried a few feet away, with 4" PVC pipe. The bucket was buried a few inches below the surface. I increased the height of the bucket by cutting off the bottom 4" of another bucket, and placing the top into my buried bucket. The buckets were attached to each other with screws.
I bought the Wayne 1/3 HP Sump Pump and a check valve on line from Home Depot. I wanted a pump with a vertical float switch. I had earlier purchased another pump (not from Home Depot) with a tether float and couldn't get the float to work properly. It had to fit in my bucket sump. Wayne products had good reviews and appeared easy to install. Both items arrived quickly and were well packaged. The instructions were easy to read and understand. I purchased a few fittings and connected the check valve to the pump. I placed the pump into my bucket sump and then plumbed 1 1/4" pipe from it to a v-ditch on the side of my yard. I capped the sump bucket with a bucket lid.
This set up worked great during a test. It is very quiet. The real test came with the heavy rains we received the past week. It has continued to work flawlessly.

Easy to install. A few dollars worth of replacement parts to replace the old valve , but replaced a pedestal with a submersible and it looks so much nicer

Less than one month after receiving and installing this pump is too early to rate this but HD insists. It arrived on time, looks well built and was easy to install. Whether it will last and perform well only time will tell. It is American made.

My Flotec sump pump finally went south. Had it for over 20 years with no problems. So, needed to replace it. After searching the reviews on some pumps, no question to get a Wayne. It matched up perfectly without having to modify any plumbing. I got a vertical switch this time, since the sump pit is square and not enough room for a tethered switch. I had to shorten the tether on my previous pump. I also like the vertical switch keeps the water level quite a distance below the floor. Good quality pump.
