My family purchased the smoker for my birthday and the following weekend I set it up and started smoking meat. All I can say is wow! this was easy to put together and pretty easy to get going. I admit that I have watched a lot of the shows that do smoking and pulled from that knowledge but the Weber worked fantastic first time out. You need to watch the temperature but not constantly. adding fuel & chips to the fire was very easy. I smoked Kielbasa, chicken & sausage the first time and it all came out great. Second day I smoked a brisket, a turkey breast and more Kiebasa. The brisket needed more time but was good anyway. The Turkey & Kiebasa were fantastic! Everyone thought the food turned out great! For a first time smoker this is well worth the money!!!!

After proper seasoning of the smoker, I cooked 4 racks of ribs (using the rib rack) and 7+ lbs of pork shoulder. It was my first time smoking meat, ever. My guests loved it and had nonstop questions for me. Thanks to my wife for my WSM (she benefits from it too)!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MKiziah Weber...14-1/2 inch Smokey Mountain Cooker Smoker
I purchased the 14-1/2 inch Smokey Mountain Cooker Smoker for my boyfriend's birthday. So far, he's smoked 2 butts and 2 full racks of ribs. It's the perfect size for a family of 4-6. It's also the perfect size to take camping. We have other Weber products that we love and this one is no exception. We highly recommend this smoker.

I cooked competition BBQ for 20yrs. Decided to give this little smoker a try. I must say I like the results. Good for cooking 1 or 2 Boston Butts or a couple of slab of ribs.My meat was moist and the smoke flavor was not too strong. I used charcoal with apple wood chips. I like the digital temp slot on the side also. For the weekend BBQ this is s good choice. Very easy to clean up and comes with a nice cover. The metal is thick holds heat good. Not cheaply made like some of the other brands. Hope this review helps. BBQ-1

An exceptional smoker with professional capabilities. Able to smoke a 10 pound pork shoulder on the top rack, enough for 8 adults. Ribs require a little more creative placement for more than 4 adults. Average time for fuel load to last is around 7 hours, temperature stays locked in essentially during the cook. Consider using Kingsford Competition Briquettes, they are more dense, smoke less and last longer than the original type. An in dwelling remote thermometer is a must, each time the lid is removed from a smoke to look at the meat or show friends, 1/2 an hour or more is added to the cook time. If we had known how well food can taste on this device, we would have purchased one earlier! Enjoy!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Courtney Great gift for husband
I gave this as a gift to my husband for his 30th birthday. He loves it and has already smoked twice. I was a bit nervous about the size (thought it might be too small), but we have already smoked a 6lb pork shoulder (for 10 people - superbowl sunday - go pats!) and a whole chicken (for 4 people) and they both worked out. Its a great gift idea, and very easy to use if learning how to smoke. If my husband continues to grow an interest we may decide to upgrade in a few years, but we are very satisfied with the Smokey Mountain Cooker 14.5in as a starter. Anything more would have increased the learning curve and made it less fun.
