CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 97 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easier to use than I thought. First time WSM user and initially had an issue getting the temperature in the 200-225 range. I attribute this to the 10 liters of cold water I put in the water bowl. Next time it will be hot water and will wait for the temperature to come up before putting in the ribs. The pork side and back ribs still turned out fantastic. A little too much smoke as I added more smoking wood part way through but over all a great investment and an awesome supper. I will be making a wind guard for it as it got breezy and that quickly sapped some of the heat. June 25, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by The smoker is easy to assemble, and as long as one pays attention to the cooking instructions (attention: spouse), easy to use. It is tricky to maintain the temperature - hopefully this will improve with experience. We also had a problem when it started to rain - the rain doused the coals. Standing out in the rain holding an umbrella over the smoker does not seem like the best solution to this problem. We ended up transferring the ribs to our traditional barbecue. August 13, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by LIved up to the hype My wife and I have spent countless hours doing our research about smokers. The one theme that evolved was the Weber SM had the best reviews. We went with the 18.5 inch as there are only two of us, and our back yard is small. The assembly was fast (follow the instructions). The Weber is welt build, has a sturdy feel, and the price point was just right. The cover that comes with it fits like a glove. We made some skin on, bone in chicken breast, smoked them for about 2.5 hours and they turned out great for a first try. Originally, there was a lot of smoke but this tapered off. Once our smoked was withing "smoking" range (225*F), I closed the bottom vents about 75 % and the temperature did not fluctuate much. We also purchased the Weber RapidFire Chimney Starter....worked real well. We only used the top rack, but there is also a lower rack for additional meat. This product exceeded our expectations. Rated 5 out of 5 by best smoker available Great product, this is my third...keep giving them away to friends and family. Only problem is that this time, the smoker shipped with tje wrong size grate supports/fasteners that didnt fit tje predrilled screw holes. Must have been for the 22.5" smoker, because they were off by about 2 inches. Should have gone back to the store, but just drilled my own holes. August 9, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Smokin easy to use, and maintain temperature, being a 1st time backyard smoker, did a pulled pork the whole family loved, cant wait to fire it up again, and try some ribs , if your looking for easy smokey barbecue , look no further imo September 17, 2012
