Answer: 
Yes! Smoker tins are also available at Home Depot and when wood chips soaked prior to grilling, then placed in smoker tin, and placed near gas burner or in back of grill grate, the smoke will infuse in meats being grilled. Will need to grill on low heat or not turn on all burners.

yes,put chips in seperate alum dish over one burner.cook your food at 250 degrees until proper temp is reached

Yes, that is what I use them in. I wet them and place a handfull in an aluminum pan over the flame to cause smoke...

Aloha! soak wood chips for 15 min. and place in foil pouch which you can make , but be sure to FULLY enclose all wood chips. Next poke about six to eight (small) holes in top of foil pouch and place directly on coals or place on grill.....enjoy!

Can I use wood chips to ferment pickles so it is crisp.
I do not have oak leaves or grape leaves etc.
If I can use some wood chips to make pickles crisp which wood chips would I use?
How much wood chips would I use to for a quart container of small cucumbers to make sour pickles?
