Answer:
A cover for the grill is separate. I have read some reviews that covers are not necessary, in fact it may be more harmful since condensation can be trapped under the cover so the grill can not dry out. For this reason, I no longer use a cover

Answer:
The cover is a separate purchase. The Webber cost around $40. It's a good investment if you keep the grill outdoors. You could also buy other more affordable covers.

No, but unlike the Spirit, the Genesis isn't designed to be a space saver... it's designed to be awesome. If you can deal without the folding side tables, it's a fantastic grill.

Answer:
Absolutely. You will not believe how much better your grill will look and perform if not submitted directly to the elements. If you love the grill, it will last longer and serve your needs better.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 379 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Considering the price... I'm giving this product 3 stars due to what I would consider a quality control issue. When fully assembled, there is a gap of roughly 1/4 to 1/2 inch between the cabinet doors. While the lower hinge is adjustable the top is not, such that squaring the doors with each other results in the aforementioned gap. When brought to the attention of Weber (including photos of my grill doors as compared to the doors shown on promotional photos from Weber which have no gap), the response I ultimately received was "We would consider the space between your doors to be within our acceptable tolerance range." While I recognize that the gap is a minimal issue in the grand scheme of things, I found Weber's response irksome as $600 ($100 off the regular price) is by far the most money I've spent on a gas grill, and for so much money I guess my "acceptable tolerance range" regarding fit and finish is smaller than Weber's. I have to wonder at what price point can one expect to have everything fit snug as represented on product photos. October 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Weber Genesis E-310 I was looking for a high end grill for my first "real" grill purchase. I know others who have used Weber in the past and always swear by the quality. They weren't wrong. It's sturdy, good construction, high end finishes and looks to be made for longevity. The grilling itself is phenomenal. I can't say enough good things about this product. The directions were easy to follow, it just took some time to actually assemble. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. I can't recommend this grill enough. September 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I have purchased grills in the past based purely on price point and this time I decided I would take another route and see just why Weber's name is what it is. I have to say I have become a loyal fan and will more than likely be a loyal supported of their fine product. It is head and shoulders above the competition from a design, functionality and quality perspective. It was easy to assemble and it is easy to clean and spare parts for the future are readily available. October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Weber is Best Weber grills are the only ones that last, I have had a Dyna-Glo, Char broil and many others and the all fall apart after 1 year. Every Weber Gas Grill I have owned has lasted me over 7 years, I live near the water and grills rust quickly. Their grates have a 5 year warranty, and the body has a 10 year warranty. If my grates rust, I call them and they send new ones, no questions asked. I will never buy any other gas grill ever again. It costs more than the other, but in the end it is worth it. October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best in Class The Weber Genesis grill is quite simply the best grill on the market for the price. My first one lasted 27 years and I used it weekly year-round. I was able to buy parts to maintain the grill over that period. No one will be able to convince me that there is a better grill on the market for the same value. October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Highly recommend the Genesis over the Spirit....much more durable and sturdy. October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great quality Easy to assemble. Quality built. Perfect size for our family of four October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Weber Grills are awesome I assembled the grill myself and it worked out perfectly. All the parts were there, the instructions were simple and everything was of great quality. That is why I am loyal to Weber when it comes to grills. You get a consistent product experience every time. I will never hesitate to buy a Weber Grill! October 4, 2016
