Answer:
A cover for the grill is separate. I have read some reviews that covers are not necessary, in fact it may be more harmful since condensation can be trapped under the cover so the grill can not dry out. For this reason, I no longer use a cover

The cover is a separate purchase. The Webber cost around $40. It's a good investment if you keep the grill outdoors. You could also buy other more affordable covers.

No, but unlike the Spirit, the Genesis isn't designed to be a space saver... it's designed to be awesome. If you can deal without the folding side tables, it's a fantastic grill.

Absolutely. You will not believe how much better your grill will look and perform if not submitted directly to the elements. If you love the grill, it will last longer and serve your needs better.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 294 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by High Quality Product, Easy to Assemble Finally, I have a Weber Genesis of my own! This grill is definitely worth the investment -- As a brand new owner of a Weber Genesis, I made this purchase after careful consideration and research. Many family members have Genesis grills that have stood the test of time. In fact, the one my mom uses is about 15 years old at this point and still going strong, and my two older brothers' grills are about 8-10 years old. Temperature control and even heat distribution on these are great. So whether you are cooking for just two people or hamburgers for 30 this grill does the job extremely well. When purchasing my grill, I chose the unassembled version for ease of transport and honestly I like putting things together. The entire assembly took my about 1.5 - 2 hours by myself, but it was very straightforward and easy to understand. There simply were a lot of parts to the assembly. Unlike other assembly jobs I have done in the past for other things, this was a breeze. All of the holes lined up where they should be, and all of the screws/bolts went in very easily. Just a few tools were required to assemble this grill. You can tell a lot about the quality of an item from assembling it from the ground up. All of the screws lining up with the holes is HUGE in ensuring high quality products. I have assembled many items in the past that did not align and were a pain to assemble. All of the parts were wrapped well and protected well in the box. After finishing the grill, I was able to make our first meal on it and the performance was outstanding. The grill heated to temp in no time, and I was able to cook our entire meal on the grill to perfection utilizing the manufacturers guide for direct and indirect heating. I highly recommend this product, and if you are debating between this and the Weber Spirit series, opt for this version and you will not be disappointed. March 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this grill! We have owned this grill for about 10 years. It's still going strong! Customer service over those years has been unbelievably fantastic! We will never own another brand. May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sticking with Weber I hade my first Weber Grill and it lasted for 25 years. I replaced the inner parts every 5 years or so. I recently replaced it with a Kenmore 5 Burner Grill because I wanted something bigger. It lasted for 2 years and I am back to a Weber and couldn't be happier. It is a very good investment May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well worth the extra money I spent two weeks researching different grills at Home Depot and Lowes. Was going to go with a cheaper $200 grill and then decided to go for the Weber. I made my decision going to the store and comparing the grills side by side. The Weber is just made solid with a heavy top. The box is huge and heavy. You are going to need help getting this in your car. Putting it together was easy and relaxing. Took 2 hours. Heats up super fast. May 19, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by overpriced doesn't last long First year wheels kept falling off. 3 years of regular cleaning, grill went up in flames. The stainless steel panels rusted through with holes. Owned cheaper grills that have lasted longer.. May 21, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Assembly took too long, but grill works great! No language instructions, just illustrations. Several steps I had to undo & start over because the installation was backward. Alignment was nearly impossible at one point. I persevered, though, and the grill works great. May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by One of the best grills Fortunately the store assembled the grill. This is a great grill, cooks foods evenly and quickly and very easy for clean ups. Its a little pricey but it is a Weber. May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cooking out on our Weber We are loving our Weber grill! It cooks evenly and is easy to keep clean. May 10, 2016
