My wife's mother let us order the grill we wanted as a housewarming present and we could not be happier with it. Home Depot delivered this promptly and we set it up in about two hours, taking our time. Some of the less visible parts were not finished as nicely as I would expect for a grill of this caliber, but they're the ones that are not visible once it's assembled, and they don't impact performance at all.
Everything worked flawlessly from the first try. The burners fired right up, the casters let you roll it easily and the doors align properly. We looked at other Webers before selecting this one and felt this presented the best overall value.

I've owned this model for several years...Looks good and feels solid....and for the most part functions ok......But, be aware of the following: the electric starter is good for one, maybe two seasons, then fails completely (not unique to this brand - they all do it)....The heavy cooking grates WILL wear out and corrode after a few seasons, and they are VERY expensive to replace.........The handle on the aluminium cover will begin to peel and fleck off after a number of years...Lastly, buy a good quality grill cover and use it during the winter months, BUT, do not use the cover during the grilling months, condensation will build up and the inside finish will peel and flake off.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hernan Best grill ever!!!!!
It was purchased as a gift from our parents on the occasion of our new home in Surfside, Miami!!!
It has been just received and we have assembled and used it several times in these two weeks period. We have already enjoyed it very much in company of family and friends.
The grill performance is as good as expected, with more than enough space for cooking and confortable service sides. It is robust and heat is evenly distributed and very nice temperature control.
It was easy to assemble and we expect to use it for a very long time!!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PeterL Great Build Quality, Powerful and Fast Make This Grill a Winner!
Decades ago when I was shopping for my first Grill my father told me "Buy a Weber" and I haven't swayed from my devotion to Weber. Our last Grill was the Spirit and it gave us six years of great service. However, the burners rusted out and it died peacefully leaving us nothing in the will. I suppose covering it during the horrific winters we get here in CT might have been a good idea but as they say Hind Sight is 20/20.
And so the research began.
Getting to the point where if I heard the words "Sear Station", "Infared" or "Side Burner" liquid Propane along with blood was going to pour my from eyes.
I really think what you need to do is see the grills side by side, kick the tires and decide just how far down into your pocket you care to reach. Off to Home Depot we went, ruling out the true junk immediately. Giving serious consideration to a Char Broil and a few others. And although these grills are half the price of a Weber and that does make them appealing but the idea of replacing them every 1-3 years quickly shatters that illusion and puts things into perspective.
We ruled the side burner out and although the Sear Station sounds nifty, we didn't see the point.
What's immediately evident is the Build Quality. The aluminum on the other comparable grills is like paper, the seams aren't well finished and the lids are weightless compared to the work out you get lifting the lid of this puppy. There's no doubt these are the Mercedes among a collection of Kias and more than a few Yugos.
* Superb build quality HD assembled and delivered for free.
* Nice Hydraulic feeling knobs, big and easy to read with smooth effortless movement.
* Good ignition system lights one burner at a time - giving you lots of options.
* 38,000 BTU's
* Heats up Crazy Fast - 650 degrees in about two or three minutes.
* Solid Locking Casters
* Great looking in Black and Silver bit of course that's entirely subjective
* Porcelain plated cast iron grill grates for sensational grill marks and even cooking
There's a big debate I see going on between which are the better Grill Plates, Stainless Steel or Cast Iron. Some of my favorite pans to cook in are Cast Iron and Spun Steel which have to be seasoned with oil. You do not, contrary to what I've read in some reviews on and off HD have to season the grill plates, you're grilling on porcelain the cast iron is encased.
A Few Tips:
* When you first fire her up don't be alarmed at all the white smoke and there's A LOT of it. It's just the vegetable oil used to coat the components burning off. I put in a call to Weber and was told to get the grill to 700 and let is burn everything off, it took five minutes.
* Get a GOOD Grill cover and pass on the Weber, why they don't include one at $700 is one bone to pick but it is what is. That said a Grill Cover popped up in an Amazon search made by a company Called Texas Grill Covers I don't know if they sell these at HD. However, They're thicker, stronger, longer and have rave reviews. They're also less expensive than the weber grill cover and come with Velcro side straps and a fairly decent assortment of grilling tools and a cleaning brush.
I can tell you this, the grill is a Beast. If fires up in no time, maintains even heat with no flare ups and it cooks blazing fast and beautifully. Steaks, Veggies and virtually anything and everything comes out perfectly every time - and we've been using the grill nightly for over a month.
A nice touch from Weber I found out when registering over the phone is that you can call anytime for tips and recipes and the gal I spoke with was sensational - she gave me a tip on the prefect 2 inch Porterhouse all three burner on until the grill reaches 650, 3 minutes per side to sear, turn off the two left burners and give it 6-7 minutes of indirect heat no turning and Viola! the PERFECT steak!
In addition all kinds of steaks we've done Sea Scallops, Swordfish, veggies galore and everything comes out delicious and beautiful.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Oldsilver Sturdy, consistent, and dependable
I wanted to buy a dependable, well-built grill that provided consistent flame and heat for my son-in-law, who is the champion griller in our family. After much research, I decided on the Weber Genesis E-310.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Casagrande19 Welcome to the Weber Family!
We finally upgraded to the Weber and it was worth it! For years we always went cheap with our grills and they would last about 2 years before rusting out here in Florida. Well we bit the bullet and bought the Weber this year and so far it was worth every penny.
I assembled the grill myself and it was pretty straight forward. Easy picture instructions and you only need a few tools. I recommend assembling it yourself so you can understand how everything goes together. Plus you know it was put together correctly.
We've used the grill about a half dozen times and everything works great. She heats up real fast, no flare ups, and there's an even heat throughout the cooking surface. Everything is very sturdy and the design was well thought out. So far we can't find any negatives.
Overall we're very pleased and would definitely recommend buying a Weber.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EarlB Best Grill I've owned!
I had a Coleman for over 10 years, but the Weber Genesis E-310 3-burner propane is the best grill I've ever had - even heat, great grates, works great for direct and indirect heat, and you can set the burners so that you can hit and stay at a specific temp.
I also recommend getting the Weber cover - it fits perfectly and keeps the grill in great condition.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BobM Glad to get a high qualtiy grill!
My previous Char-Grill gas grill ($399 in 2003) did an admirable job for ~12 years, but not without multiple replacements of the burners, igniter, grates and other minor parts. I decided to step up to a Weber grill based on Consumer's Reports and other recommended sites. Although I have not yet lighted it up the first time, I can tell by the quality of the parts and the durable assembly (threaded brackets, insulating washers and coated fasteners) that this will be a great grill. Although the price may seem to be high at $699, I feel it is worth it based on the overall solid quality of the parts and construction. I'm looking forward to its maiden voyage later tonight!
