PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Model # 121020

Internet # 100497504

This Weber rectangular portable charcoal grill is small enough to carry around with ease but large enough to cook 6 hamburger patties at once. Weber ingenuity shines through in the form of legs that swing up and over the top of the grill, securing the lid in place and shrinking its overall profile for storage in cramped spaces. The Go-Anywhere charcoal grill is constructed with a porcelain-enameled bowl and lid, supplying chefs with the rust-resistance and durability Weber is known for.

Answer:
Yes, the cover can be secured for transport. The support stand (attached leg frame) rotates upward and locks in place over the grill lid. This provides a secure method for moving the unit...you may use the one-handed carry method by grasping the lid handle or two-handed system by utilizing the handle(s) affixed to each side of the bottom section....pretty slick design from a personal perspective.

Answer:
Yes, the two supports that keep the grill safely away from the table surface, can be rotated up and made to catch small ridges on both sides of the top cover and 'clamp' it in place, so the unit can be carried by using only the top handle.

Is this a GAS or a CHARCOAL grill?

This question is from Go-Anywhere Portable Charcoal Grill

The title is "go-anywhere portable charcoal grill," but the instructions included on the page are for a GAS grill. One of the answers (from Weber) talks about using propane, but the same question got an answer from a customer saying "this uses charcoal." HD, can you please correct this?!! The item is listed as not being available in stores so I cannot just go look.

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 52 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best purchase so far I purchased the Weber Go-Anywhere Charcoal Grill to use on our camping trips where firepits and wood were not available. This grill has be a perfect fit to our cooking needs. It's light weight and well constructed and is perfect to fit on the end of a picnic table. It's compact and a good price! May 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great charcoal grill very easy to assemble. great for windy days, when the go anywhere gas grill won't quite get hot enough, especially at the beach February 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My 2nd Go-Anywhere Had one for years. Bought 2nd as Xmas gift for son. Easy assembly. Help videos on YouTube. Only assembly tool needed is Phillips head screw driver. You can pack it with essentials and go anywhere! January 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very versitile I am finally replacing the one I bought over 30 years ago. It is still the same quality as the previous unit. January 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good grill 5 star one clip missing One clip missing on legs otherwise a good grill for the motor home used it twice cooks really fast October 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Super Product! Very well made product, folds up into a small package. Grills beautifully with less than 20 briquets. Read the manual - it provides valuable hints that make a difference. I purchased the compact charcoal starter, too, to save space while camping. It works very well and is highly recommended. October 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality product This is a typical Weber product, built to last. It was simple to assemble with straightforward instructions. It is built from heavy gauge steel and powder coated. We first bought an inferior product from Wallyworld at half the price of this one (what was I thinking?) and returned it promptly due to the awful craftsmanship and ridiculous assembly and instructions. This grill only goes camping so it should outlast me. June 16, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A very excellent grill! We live in northern Nevada. It is usually very windy at our local State Park. This precludes propane. The charcoal Go - Anywhere - Grill is as close to perfection as I can imagine. The more wind, the better! I can load it with charcoal in the right half, and have the left half for indirect cooking. Last week I did two fillets mignon and they came out absolutely perfect. The grill cools down in a very short time and is very good at conserving fuel. We have a travel trailer and the grill packs in the storage area very efficiently. I have a couple of other charcoal grills but they are just about to be history. The Weber "Go - Anywhere - Charcoal - Grill" is, IMHO, the very best! I have just ordered another one for for our home use. June 11, 2015
