Customer Questions & Answers

can you sit this grill on a picnic table

Asked by: Anonymous
Fred, I chose not to buy the cart and am glad I did. I set this directly on a 4' plastic folding table with very minimal radiant heat to the table. This is a great grill. You will love it. TF

Can you use a 20lb gas bottle with this grill?

Asked by: Anonymous
This is the only propane source that I use. The small bottles are too expensive. Yes to the 20 lb. gas bottle.

How much do the 200 and the 220 weigh?

Asked by: Anonymous
Probably about 15 lbs. It is easy for me to handle, but I would not want my wife carrying it because it is kind of bulky to carry.

Can you get a griddle top as an accessory for the 220 . so you can switch from grill to griddle ?

Asked by: Anonymous
I have the Q 220 and the griddle. The griddle easily fits on top of the cooking grate so you can easily switch from grill to griddle and back by inserting or removing the griddle. If you want to switch frequently when cooking, you'll need to someplace to place the very hot griddle when it comes off the grill.

Customer Reviews

Q-220 Portable Propane Gas Grill-DISCONTINUED is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 60.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive, high quality little workhorse! I generally cook for just 2, but this grill is large enough to accomodate cooking for a group. The construction quality and intelligent design is evident as you follow the straightforward and very simple instructions for putting the grill together. Unlike other grills at this price point, there is nothing that feels cheaply made, fails to fit together, doesn't work right on this little gem. I wish this grill and attachment worked better with a refillable propane tank, but I have to admit the smaller, non-refillable tanks are cheap and easy to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and effective Bought for a dockside location with not too much space available. Assembly was straightforward. Connected 1lb propane bottle, opened it up, and hit the Start button - worked first time and every time so far - way better the the Start button on my PC - but that is another story!! Reached 500 degrees quickly - be careful if you like your steaks rare - if you follow their recommendations and only open to flip over once you will be amazed at how quickly the cook - or overcook to medium :-( enough space for a BBQ for four oir five people easily - and we eat a lot of meat! Excellent product

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little grill Takes up very little space and has good heat. It's not too heavy so I can carry it from me balcony to my roof dek on my condo. It fits well on my condo deck which is 51 in across. Might be small for cooking for more than 2 people at once, though. I also like that I can use the big propane tank for gas or the small propane canisters which are easily available in my Home Depot store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Grill! Large cooking surface, quick heating, powerful burner, and excellent quality. I have owned a couple of Weber grills now and this grill lives up to their legacy and it's own is a great grill!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big Punch out of a littler grill I purchased this BBQ for camping. I also bought the Weber 6549 folding cart which I would recommend if taking this thing on trips. The Grill itself cooks perfectly. I had no "hot spots" on the grill and even when doing 80/20 hamburger with cheese I had very few flare ups. This grill is perfect for camping as I can fit 2 whole racks of ribs on with room to spare. The foil trays are an excellent addition to capturing the grease that will inevitably spill out. It makes for an easy cleanup. It is a very sturdy grill surface and what you would expect from Weber. I have a friend who has this grill for home use and purchased the permanent stand that is much more sturdy. He cooked 8 Rib Eye's on it the other day with ease and uses it for his smaller grilling tasks. Enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Grill I have a BabyQ in my motorhome but wanted this slightly larger Q for my front porch at home. I love the larger grill area, the thermometer and the quick start ignition. I bought a high quality wood folding table which I top with a foil cookie sheet and the grill is stable. The fold out plate/tool "wings" are perfect. I cook for myself and sometimes one guest - perfect size for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Didnt know what to expect I have been looking for a grill to use at the campground where i keep my camper but the grill has to be small enough to store in my camper compartment when i am not there. This ansers that for me but i was wondering how such a small grill would do. Well i can say the Webber name came thru agai n and was a big sucess. I made hamburgers , steak , and a 3 pound pork loin and it all turned out fantastic. The grill heats up fast and was very easy to clean. I was a little suprised that even on low heat it was at 375-400 I was hoping i could cook some things on low heat but anyway i got the adpter for the 20lb tank so i wouldnt have to worry about running out of gas when cooking a meal also got he fold down cart and glad i did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No surprise with this product, top notch as always from Weber! This was a snap to put together and is a nice step up in size and ability from my old Q100 which was a true work horse (stolen @ an outdoor concert). The built in wings are a nice feature along with the collapsible grill stand I bought so your not always grilling on the ground if a table isn't available. Thought about changing horses and going with a LL Bean "O" Grill, very happy I didn't. You just can't go wrong with these grills.
