Something wrong if wobbly?

Hi, I bought the demo model from the store since that is all they had and I needed to BBQ the same evening. It is okay but somewhat wobbly. If I use a steel brush even lightly, I have to hold on to the grill. Is that the design or am I missing a screw somewhere?

Answer:
This is so wobbly I think it has a poor design I definitely put it together properly. What can I do to stabilize it? Is there any other option for a 1400 stand?

Hi, Thanks for your question! The cart does have a small degree of play to it, but you may want to disassemble and reassemble the cart to ensure that it is put together correctly, and that all the hardware is secured properly. You can view the assembly guide on Weber.com: http://c929377.r77.cf2.rackcdn.com/52220_071813.pdf.

Hi! Thanks for your question! The Q cart 6557 is not compatible with the 200 series model. You will want to look for 6549: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Weber-Q-Rolling-Grill-Cart-6549/202505781?MERCH=REC-_-PIPHorizontal1_rr-_-204671684-_-202505781-_-N.

Answer:
Yes, these are the two units I have. I am very happy I have them. Before I purchased the stand, I had the grill on a wooded table. I was concerned the table might catch fire or be damaged. Plus, I can move my grill with ease. Great duo!

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 21 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for the deck This the perfect use for our deck and basic grilling needs. It is a little short, but nothing noticeable and still easy to use. Set up was super easy, and i like how it clicks and locks into place. The quality has lasted so far through the Chicago winter on the deck (covered). The price is a little steep for basic plastic on wheels, but Weber knows what they are doing with their accessories because we felt we had no real other option other than a basic stand or table; we bought it anyways. I will say we didn't get it right away when we bought the grill because of the price. If it were a bit lower, i would have bought together with the grill and not waited/considered the purchase a bit more. March 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great grill stand Great product for my weber grill, but it seems a little pricey. March 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Option for Camping or Tailgating This stand makes transporting your Weber tabletop grill extremely easy – you simply fold it down, strap down the lid, pick up the handle and walk. It’s obvious that a lot of thought went into how this stand works. This stand is a good height, holds the grill securely in place & is easy to collapse for transport. Assembly was more extensive than I expected, and a little hard to follow in a couple places, but nothing too bad. I had it unpacked, assembled & in use in less than 30 minutes. It’s a good height and a great way to transport your grill when tailgating or camping. If you anticipate using your grill anywhere but your house, this definitely isn’t a bad investment! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product This grill cart makes it really easy to move the Weber grill where ever you want to grill We can keep our grill under our covered patio and not worry about the weather. February 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Accessory BOTTOM LINE: Great accessory, a little pricey. REVIEW Overall, I think this is a great accessory to the Q1200 grill. It brings the grill up to a good working height and collapeses into a handy cart to tote the grill from your car to your campsite (or tailgate site, or picnic site, or...). Setup was very easy and the design is quite clever. It allows for tool free intallation and removal of the grill, as well as tool free locking/collapsing. It also includes a strap to hold the cover of the grill closed during "towing". SMALL GRIPES One potential improvement would be to allow the stationary leg to telescope so that it doesn't stick out wider than the grill when collapesed. That would help when packing this into a trunk for transport. Also, it's a little pricey (hence three stars for value). February 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Needed a grill cart for our Q Here it is at the end of the season, so we went to our local H/D store to see if they had a cart for the Q series grill we had purchased earlier in the season so we didn't have to fire up the large Weber to cook just a couple of burgers or hot dogs. The grill worked fine at home, so we'll take it with us on our trailer camping trips too. But why buy the cart now? Winter is coming, and the large grill sits on the back porch all covered up as the snow can get pretty deep out there. We'll use the Q on the cart out front, taking it from the garage and using it under the front overhang. We like grill food any time of the year. The box had been opened before, but we took it home anyway. Inside all the parts save the pins to hold the wheels on and instructions were there. I reverse engineered it and got it together and working. So far, so good. Glad I had some large cotter pins in my shop. October 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for camping! The cart is so handy for moving and set-up of the portable grill. September 3, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Wobbly Unstable. Any cleaning of the grill grates auses wobbling. Probably would not have bought this if I knew that, August 20, 2015
