Please provide info on natural gas hook up

Asked by: Anonymous
There's nothin to it. Call a plumber and he can put it in for about $300 depending where its going. Then assemble grill and just hook it up. Never lug another propane bottle again. Best way to grill, hands down and necver run out of fuel.

Why does the natural gas model Weber Spirit not have cast iron grates as the propane models do?

Asked by: Anonymous
Don't know but frankly I have had the cast iron the grates it comes with (porcelin)are great and much easier to clean. I've had the cast iron and they rust. These won't

Customer Reviews

Spirit E-310 3-Burner Natural Gas Grill-DISCONTINUED is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 56.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grates on grills I bought 2 grills for my sons for Christmas, One was propane and the other natural gas. The propane grill came with cast iron grates as I was expecting. The natural gas grill came with the cheaper grates. I was under the impression both grills were suppose to have cast iron grates. Please explain why both were not cast iron.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a difference! We've had the most delicious rib-eye steaks the last couple of nights thanks to the Spirit! Following the grill times from "Joy of Cooking", the Spirit cooked up the steak on par with what you would get with a $30 steak at a fine-dining restaurant with little effort and under 30 minutes from turning the grill on to finished product. Steak was chared on the outside, very jucy inside and the interior color was a perfect medium-rare. Looking forward to cooking chicken and fish as well. I had never used a grill with the 'smoker bars' but they do a great job of giving the meat that char-broiled taste as it uses the fat drippings to further flavor the meat. The assembly instructions were clear and the unit contained the correct quantities of each piece of hardware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Why does E--310 propane unit come with cast iron cooking grates versus steel grates on the natural gas E--310 units ? I purchased the cast iron grates, these two units are identical in all other respects. Your reviews indicate that the cast iron cooking grates cook more uniformly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid product - Arrived in not so solid shape After doing a lot of research, I finally decided to get this grill. I know that this is a solid grill and will last for a long time. Good: The instructions on how to put it together were very straight forward and it took me about 2 hrs to assemble the grill. The black key that came with it was a life saver. Bad: Both doors came with huge dents. Luckily they were on the inside so its not visible once I put it together. If you are looking for quality and will typically grill for 4-6 people this is the grill for you. It surely is a couple of hundred dollars more expensive than the Charbroil grills but its money well spent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeds expectations but takes time to assemble This grill replaces my old Weber Genesis Silver A grill. The Genesis was about the same size except it had a slightly smaller grill and only two burners rather than three. The Spirit-310 is absolutely great! The extra grill space now allows me to handle grilling for the whole extended family. Also the three burners produce rapid and extremely hot grilling environment...which just makes the whole grilling process more effective and quicker, especially in the dead of winter. I grill at least once a week no matter what the weather. The electrical igniter works just slick. This is a really perfect grill for me and my family. Anyone that is thinking about buying the two burner model because it is cheaper, I would strongly suggest that you spend the extra money and buy this three burner grill. I was warned this very same way several years ago, when I was buying my 2 burner Weber. It was a very fine grill, and served me well, but the more that I grilled, the better that I got, and the more people that I grilled for, the more it was obvious that the 3-burner model would produce a more even heating area and would allow me to cook much faster and better on those occasional times when we have more people over. A suggestion. When you receive your Weber, spread out a blanket on the carpet of your home and assemble it there...not outside on a hard surface. You are going to be doing some crawling around on your hands and knees putting this beauty together. Much better to be on carpet and much better to be inside where there is heating or air conditioning. And lastly a warning. You will probably end up taking 2-3 hours to assemble it...not the 1 hour that has been suggested. But once it is together, it has very nice fit and finish, and is worthy of having its photo taken with the assembler!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from takes a little getting used to The grill heats up quickly. Other grills have burners that run front to back whereas this the burners run side to side. It was explained that this helps to use convection with indirect cooking with the heat circulating to food in the front while having only the burner in the back for example. Still getting used to the new pattern of cooking, but I think it will be good. To differentiate, the control knobs are not on the front, but on the side. This means that you lose the flat surface on the right side of the grill (for platters, etc.) which is a bit inconvenient. So far, I am happy with the purchase and performance and would buy it again. Make sure you get a grill cover when you are getting the grill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Weber E-310 Grill Nice grill for average family user-large cooking surface, multiple burners to create direct and indirect heating areas. Electronic ignition is battery operated and is easy to replace if needed. Assembly took about 1.5hours and was easy to follow. The only problem was all of the screws were of one design use (metal as opposed to metal-plastic). The instructions called out using two different types of screws, but only one type was included in the package. Assembly was still possible, but took a little longer using the all metal screws for the plastic parts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New grill We bought this grill to replace an old one we have had for 38 years. It is a natural gas grill that is wonderful. It went together in about 2 hours without much trouble. It cooks so much faster than our old one we almost burnt our steaks!. Super fast easy to clean. Five stars.
