The assembly instructions are clear and easy to follow. I didn't time myself, but it probably took me 1/2 hour once you go over the instructions and get a wrench and screwdriver.

Really not that difficult. Took me only 1-2 hours, and only had help with one tiny part (feeding lines and wires down through a part while I held up the main grill). I think most people could do 90% of the work all alone and still be done in less than 2 hours.

The grill worked for 3 times and then shut off the gas completely. Weber customer service was responsive but not very knowledgeable about it, they said a regular flare fitting is not appropriate and damaged the "quick disconnect" connection that comes with the grill. No explanation why this might be so, there is nothing in the manual about if and why it would not be appropriate to make a standard connection. The plumber refuses to change what he did based on this obscure advise from Weber, other plumbers also say it makes no sense. Bottom line, I have a grill and cannot connect it to the gas line we had from the previous grill. Read Less

The Home Depot employees can answer any questions you have right there in the store. If you already have a gas line all you need to do is determine the pipe size coming out of the house and if it's smaller or larger you can get fittings that will reduce or enlarge the pipe so it matches the fitting on the gas line hose. Don't forget you have to use Natural gas approved dope or tape on the threads of the pipes. Don't use the white tape. It's not made for natural gas lines.
Don't forget you need a shutoff outside.

I would consider the 2 burner if you are only cooking for two people, you have plenty of room for all your meat and vegetables with space left. This grill can accommodate several items at one time!

Customer Reviews

Spirit E-310 3-Burner Natural Gas Grill (Featuring the Gourmet BBQ System) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 147.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Weber E-310 Natural gas grill The Weber E-310 Natural Gas grill was easy to assemble and use. I took the time to watch a Youtube and read the directions. The parts were very clearly labeled and divided in bags associated with certain steps. All told it probably took me three hours to assemble the grill. Make sure you go through the leak test, which is in the manual but not the directions. It is important to remember that when you start the grill it is on full power. Some users were confused by this. The fully darkened circle is full power, the 1/4 filled is quarter power. The grill heated quickly. Watch for cool zones and move your product to accommodate. Overall the unit has good even heat. The very back seemed a bit cooler. But a fine grill.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far, so good Easy to install after getting the proper gas plumbing. I was able to do myself after talking to a master plumber at Home Depot. Cost about an extra $6 for the parts. Hopping to get 10-years out of this grill. Front panel is a bit flimsy, but expected that based on the other reviews. Still trying to figure out how to keep the temperature stable. Keeps getting hotter than I would like. I assume there is a learning curve on that. Skillet pan is a cool feature. Cooked fajita veggies on it and brought the hot skillet in the house like at a restaurant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Experience Great Grill Love the Grill. It is great to cook on as it heat evenly. Worth the extra dollars we spent on it. Love that Home Depot assembled it for us. Picking it up was easy and smooth. The gentleman who assembled it brought it out and helped us load it. You could tell he took care in assembling it and took care that it was loaded in our SUV in the best manner so that it (or the car) was not damaged. This grill fit into the back of our Ford Escape without to much problem. The E-310 model does not have folding side shelves (the E-210 does) so that made it a bit more of a challenge. Just needed to determine the best way to load it and again he knew exactly how that was going to be done. Excellence experience! Worth driving the extra miles to shop at Home Depot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchase and use of Weber Spirit E-310 Grill We ordered a natural gas grill because we had a stub for it in our newly purchased cabin. As with other Weber grills it is well built, heats evenly, and has nice features like a vegetable pan in the center. We couldn't be happier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great BBQ I bought the natural gas version of the Spirit 300 as a Father's Day gift. The grill was heavy and needed two people to lift it. The assembly instructions were easy to follow and I built the grill in 40 minutes. The starter holds a AA battery, so in the future, if the starter goes out, I'll replace the battery first. This is a very nice grill overall and cooks my food thoroughly. I did have a couple of disappointments, however, with the grill. For $500, I would expect the grill to be made out of better quality materials. The front part is plastic and looks kind of chincey. It was a really expensive grill and at $500, I would expect higher quality. That dropped my value rating down. Too much money. I would be very happy if the total price were around $350. That's about the level of quality with this grill. Lastly, during construction, I could not separate the flame distributor triangle things. I even stuck them in the freezer to see if I couldn't shrink of the metal a 32nd of an inch. It was awful. I understand packing those things stacked, but they were a struggle to pull apart. Beware of that part of assembly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Grill - Frustrating Screen The Grill itself is Great! I especially love the BBQ System. Unfortunately you have to sacrifice door on the grill just to get the BBQ system with Home Depot. Everywhere else they sell this rather expensive grill, it comes with a solid hinged metal door. This BBQ version comes with a flimsy cheap looking plastic screen. The screen itself is difficult to attach to all of the brackets because you cant really see them behind the screen as you try and attach it. It becomes rather annoying every time that you need to turn the gas to the grill on and off. You also can see the propane tank through the screen which takes away from the look of this otherwise beautiful grill. The Weber customer service also refused to sell me a door that would fit this grill. This would be the prefect grill otherwise.
Date published: 2016-05-02
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing quality I am really disappointed with the poor quality of this grill. I had to order it as my local HD doesn't stock a natural gas version. The grill is made of very light gauge steel and is quite flimsy - not what I would expect from Weber. As it will be outdoors 365 days per year, I question how durable it will be long term. It is quite wobbly and there is no way it will get better with age. Also, was damaged/dented in shipment.
