My gas line was pre-built into my home by the builder. A $500.00 upgrade at the time. I have a gas valve that was designed for just that purpose. Simple attachment , I did not need to hire a professional.

Mostly not. This is all plug-and-play stuff; the worst case you may need to buy a reducer to step down your supply line to the grill's gas line size. Still, that's easy to do

If you have never worked with plumbing, especially natural gas, I recommend you get a professional to provide you a natural gas line with a shutoff and a Quick Disconnect at the point outside that you wish to use the grill. I use the shutoff when the grill is not in use.

If your house connection is a "Quick Disconnect" the same size (3/8") and all you have to do is plug in the grill hose end you should be good to go. ANY modification to the existing house connection necessary to make the fit to the grill hose end should be done by a pro.

Hi KNJ635, you can do the connection yourself, with the proper materials and tools.
Take a look at pages 10, 11, 12, & 13, in the use and care guide. This is located to the right of the product overview.
This section shows you how to hook up gas line, and how to check for leaks.

Yes it can be used for storage of BBQ items, However I would be very cautious in doing so. The storage area is not bug tight, and it does get very toasty when the grill is in use.

I am storing BBQ accessories in mine like the grill scrubber. I suppose you could put your food in there but there is no shelf and it might get grill droppings and debris from that normally fall into a little catch tray in the top of that compartment.

Hi Dot, I reached out to Weber on your question. Weber stated that by leaving off one shelf/table, would make the unit off balance and might tip over. Weber suggested you take a look at their S-210 spirit model as the side tables fold down. Model 47100001, Home Depot internet number 203597747.

The E-310 is very similar to the Weber Gas Grills of 20 years ago in size and performance. If you are not that insistent on a post mounted unit, this free standing unit is a cost effective and good alternative.

You can cut a hole in the bottom panel and lift it over the post to hide it. Make sure the post and gas connection are not too high (too close to the heat). The hose with this unit is very long and you will have to coil it up in the bottom compartment or buy a shorter one. This is what I did with mine.

Spirit E-310 3-Burner Natural Gas Grill in Black is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 124.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love the grill, really sad about the stainless This was gifted to me by my children as it had been on my Xmas list for a couple of years. It operates great, was easy to connect to the natural gas and I was delighted. What was quite disappointing was that the stainless will rust within the first year. I am in the process of emailing Weber, and was told to use Noxon7 to remove the rust. It did a great job of removing the newest rust, but the older rust didn't budge. Wish I had been told to use this produce before it became permanent. Praying that Weber will replace the rusted parts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Grill, I will never buy anything but Weber again! We absolutely love this grill. It cooks superbly, evenly. You can tell the quality is much higher than Char-Broils, Brinkmans, etc. and I love the grill design. Very easy to clean and nothing to really break. Maintenance is a breeze and having the natural gas feature is the best thing to eve happen to grilling! No more running out of propane! I'd recommend getting the cover as well, its a pretty grill and will look horrible after being rained on or getting wet from the sprinklers, just as all grills do. I would suggest getting it shipped to the store and assembled though. But it only took me 35 minutes to put together so it wasn't too bad.

He had grill assembled and delivered exactly the way I wanted it. Then followed up a few days later to ask how it was working. Brandon should definitely be sales person of the month.
