My gas line was pre-built into my home by the builder. A $500.00 upgrade at the time. I have a gas valve that was designed for just that purpose. Simple attachment , I did not need to hire a professional.

Mostly not. This is all plug-and-play stuff; the worst case you may need to buy a reducer to step down your supply line to the grill's gas line size. Still, that's easy to do

If you have never worked with plumbing, especially natural gas, I recommend you get a professional to provide you a natural gas line with a shutoff and a Quick Disconnect at the point outside that you wish to use the grill. I use the shutoff when the grill is not in use.

If your house connection is a "Quick Disconnect" the same size (3/8") and all you have to do is plug in the grill hose end you should be good to go. ANY modification to the existing house connection necessary to make the fit to the grill hose end should be done by a pro.

Hi KNJ635, you can do the connection yourself, with the proper materials and tools.
Take a look at pages 10, 11, 12, & 13, in the use and care guide. This is located to the right of the product overview.
This section shows you how to hook up gas line, and how to check for leaks.

Yes it can be used for storage of BBQ items, However I would be very cautious in doing so. The storage area is not bug tight, and it does get very toasty when the grill is in use.

I am storing BBQ accessories in mine like the grill scrubber. I suppose you could put your food in there but there is no shelf and it might get grill droppings and debris from that normally fall into a little catch tray in the top of that compartment.

Hi Dot, I reached out to Weber on your question. Weber stated that by leaving off one shelf/table, would make the unit off balance and might tip over. Weber suggested you take a look at their S-210 spirit model as the side tables fold down. Model 47100001, Home Depot internet number 203597747.

The E-310 is very similar to the Weber Gas Grills of 20 years ago in size and performance. If you are not that insistent on a post mounted unit, this free standing unit is a cost effective and good alternative.

You can cut a hole in the bottom panel and lift it over the post to hide it. Make sure the post and gas connection are not too high (too close to the heat). The hose with this unit is very long and you will have to coil it up in the bottom compartment or buy a shorter one. This is what I did with mine.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 118 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Grill! I purchased this grill to replace another older model natural gas grill that we had. And chose this one based on previous reviews of the Weber E-310. It arrived as scheduled and was easy to put together. It has worked great the few times we've used it so far. No complaints. I understand that natural gas grills are a little more expensive to purchase in the beginning, but in the long run, they're cheaper to operate since there's no hassle of having to fill the propane bottles and running out at the least opportune time. We're very happy with it! July 5, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Too Hot to Handle I recommend this grill with reservations. I hate how hot the plastic handle is during grill time. I have had a Genesis Gold for 15 years, should have gone for the Gold again. Spirit not close in performance or value! Too bad, very disappointed with a burnt hand. July 25, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fair deal Product was easy to assemble. It heats nicely and cooks evenly. July 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Grill I had the grill pre-assembled by Home Depot and it works perfect. The grill was a good size for a family of 4. Very easy clean-up, doesn't require much effort between uses. Cooks very quickly compared to my previous grill. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gift to myself for Father's Day I have used this grill about 8 times over the last few weeks. I really like the convenience of having natural gas available as a fuel source. I own a similar Spirit S210 two burner LP grill that we use at our lakehouse condo. Both grills are well made and extremely easy to use and clean up. I only wish this Spirit three burner grill in natural gas had been available in stainless steel. I used to think charcoal was the way to go. I was wrong. These grills are great. June 28, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good not great Weber is a very good grill but it is not hundreds of dollars better than others. I am convinced you can do just as good for half the price. You pay a lot for the name but the food does not taste one bit better. July 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect small grill for my deck. We recently acquired a natural gas grill as an incidental, existing appliance on the deck of our new home. It was a ten year old a two-burner Weber, ready for replacement. The 3 burner model is a nice improvement, still small but a little more capable and versatile. It's a high quality grill, nice looking and well-constructed. I assembled it myself. I recommend this grill highly for someone with space constraints who wants a good quality grill with features that permit grilling a wide variety of foods. June 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Weber Grill I love this grill. It is the perfect size and it cooks better than any other grill I have used. Also, the natural gas hook up is the only way to go. So glad we put in the natural gas when we built our house. It is also a very rugged and durable grill. Very happy with my purchase! June 28, 2016
