Sorry if this is a stupid question. I'm a newbie. From home depot website, it seems there're two versions for this grill. This one uses natural gas, there's another one which uses propane. Here is my question: Can this natural gas model also use liquid propane? Thanks in advance.

Answer:
I'm more or less guessing here, but I don't believe the same model can use both types of gas. That's why they have the option for both models. If it's anything like a lot of house ovens/ranges, natural gas uses a different connector than propane. Also, there's no gas gauge with a natural gas model.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 53 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Grill Master Very solid and sturdy grill. You can immediately feel the difference from the low end priced grills. The grill required more assembling than cheaper less expensive grill I last bought but wasn't difficult at all to put together. It was a one person job that took just a little over an hour. The instructions were clear and all the small parts were bagged in order of steps to assemble. They will even highlight certain parts to make sure you install them correctly vs backwards. I’ve been using my Summit S-420 for almost 3 years now and have yet to see any signs of rust on the grills or covers. I keep telling everyoe that it’s equipped with the Bugatti of electric starters because none of the burners have yet to die out on me. August 22, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by So far so good I've used the gas grill about 15 times so far. The Pros: Assembly was reasonably easy. I did it as a one-man operation. It heats relatively quickly (7 to 10 minutes to heat up to 500F). It cooks evenly with no hot and cold spots. Temperature control is accurate. The burner ignition system works well. The four-burner system allows for both direct and indirect cooking. My last Weber worked for nearly 20 years (with a few replacement parts - availability of parts is a BIG reason to buy a Weber) and I expect this one will do as well. The cons: Despite Weber's marketing claims, the "Flavorizer Bars" will flare up from fat drippings from chicken skin and burgers. The side burner is a convenient feature but has limited performance when it's windy. The warming rack area is a bit inconveniently located as it interferes with the ability to reach the back of the cooking area. Without a cover, when it rains water is getting into the lower cabinet and grease pan. Overall, I'm happy with the S-420 and would buy it again. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very pleased This arrived mostly assembled on a custom pallet. There was some minor assembly required, but the instructions we excellent. It arrived much faster than expected. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by S 420 Great so far. As my other Weber grill have been in the past July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wait for sale! It's a great grill Got it on sale for under $1K and they threw in an 80/90$ cover plus Weber wirebrush and stack of foil grease trays. It comes with attached handle light I bought another genuine Weber extra light and rotisserie on Amazon at great pricing. The gas temp dial decals started peeling off after one week and Weber sent 2 new ones out arrived in 2 days now the other 2 are doing the same Weber has great no question customer service June 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by As someone new to Weber it's on a whole other level Never owned a top end grill before. Have only owned a Kenmore previously and thats what the Weber Summit replaced. I could tell in minutes of use that the Weber is just plain better. The heating to all corners is perfect. Starts up like a champ and runs like one. Very impressed. Now, time will how it lasts. I have heard they last 10 years if you take care of them. June 7, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Weber isn't what it used to be! We purchased this grill 2 years ago and have it on our covered patio. It gets no sun and is not exposed to rain. The chrome on the handles and Weber logo are badly pitted and the paint on the side of the grill cover is bubbled and peeling off. We contacted Weber's customer service and they said the items are not covered by our warranty so we could pay for new replacements but they won't cover it. This is not a cheap grill as you can see from the price $1,400. We specifically choose a Weber because we thought it was a quality grill. Maybe they were at one time but they apparently aren't any more. Sure didn't expect the poor customer service. We will not be buying another Weber grill. April 6, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Summit Weber Grill Generally speaking it is a nice product. But the doors under the grill are out of square. It is too much of a hassle to return the grill and does not impact product performance - but I expected much much better considering the cost. Fit and finish is only ok. I would not buy a Weber product again if this is typical. May 17, 2016
