Excel at any outdoor cooking endeavor with the Weber Summit S-470 stainless steel propane grill. Whether it’s smoking, searing, rotisserie, sauteing or everyday grilling, this 4-burner juggernaut has the bells and whistles to hone your chef skills. Just add wood chips to the smoker box, ignite its separate burner, and wham—your propane grill is transformed into a bona fide smokehouse. Or ignite the rear-mounted infrared rotisserie burner and Tuck-Away rotisserie motor to slow-cook a large piece of meat on a rotating spit. A separate high-powered sear burner is at your disposal to focus intense heat on a central swath, and an independent side burner stove supplies the opportunity to heat up a skillet or sauce pan. If ordinary grilling is your ambition, spread foods across the 468 sq. in. primary grilling space outfitted with stainless steel grates.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 41 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing Weber Summit S-470 This is our 2nd Weber grill and we even gave our 14 yr old Weber to my sister-in-law for her cottage. The Summit S-470 is truly the best barbecue you can ever own. Extremely easy to setup, very little to assemble and easy to read instructions. Love all the features, grill light, light-up knobs, smoker box and the searing burner is amazing. Looking forward in trying the rotisserie this weekend. We took advantage of the 20% off sale, what a bonus that was. I highly recommend this grill to everyone that truly loves cooking outdoors. Weber, you have impressed us again! April 27, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing BBQ I have been BBQing longer than I can remember! i have always bought the less expensive BBQ's and usually burn through them in a couple years (Live in San Diego, we BBQ everyday) then i was at a friends house and he has a Weber 660, the meat that came off that grill was the best I have ever tasted. Next day i ordered my Summit BBQ, OMG! The meat off my grill is as good as my buddies but I got more features that are worth every penny. Stop messing around with cheap BBQ's and get the Cadillac of BBQ's and you won't be disappointed. (Beware, Weber BBQ's do attract neighbors and relatives) August 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great grill Love this thing so far, never had a good grill to use so its hard to get used to. Cooks very evenly doing steaks, burgers and brauts so far. August 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solid Grill, very reliable This is my 2nd Weber Summit 400 series grill. The first one lasted 8 years with no problems, then fell over in a bad wind storm. It was a little banged up but still worked well. I ended up giving it to a friend who cleaned it and fixed it up and now it's almost like new. The new grill I purchased is a step up, with lighted knobs, a smoker box, and built in rotisserie. The smoker box is useful to get a little smoke on your food. For fast cooking food like a steak or london broil, I cold smoke for about 45 minutes, then pull the food and get the grill searing hot, then cook. For longer cooks like chicken I start out cooking at a lower temperatue with smoke then crank it up at the end. I haven't tried a real reverse sear yet which is how I cook my prime rib, but that should work very well with smoke. I recommend this grill! July 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love This Grill I was very happy with my purchase of my Webber Summit S-470 4-Burner Grill even though it cost a little bit more than I wanted to spend, the features on the grill are excellent! I have used all the burners on the grill. The rotisserie works great and the infrared burner was awesome on the chicken, I didn't use the lower burner while cooking it. I love the hideaway on the rotisserie motor. The steak slash sear burner works great. Assembly was very easy. The smoker box was a nice plus I would recommend mesquite chips not soaked in water, the reason I recommend this wood is for a good smoke flavor due to other woods being to mild of a smoke too taste for the duration of your cook time. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ABSOLUTELY NO REGRETS Previously had a jenn air $800 stainless gas grill over 7 years, it was my first grill to learn on. Loved it, and was very bummed it went out. Research led me to Webber for my #1 choice (customer service, reviews, Quality, and ratings from websites), I wanted to get the best grill for around $1000. Genesis was my first choice until wife said she didn't care which one I purchased, so game on with further research. I knew I wanted Summit because of its advantages to cook in a variety of ways. I have never cooked with a rotisserie, the smoker box, plus the sear station were all selling points for me. But the side burner was on my old grill and never used it, and The propane buttons cool but wasn't a big deal either. I couldn't decide on S470 or 670 BUT the difference in price led me to S470. For a 4 family cooking grill it's more than enough heats up, cooks, and sears QUICK. Getting the timing down and just rotisseried 2 7lb. chickens this weekend, never done it before, and it was AMAZING. I LOVE THIS GRILL and I wipe it down every use just so I can keep messing with it. WITHOUT A DOUBT BEST PURCHASE IVE MADE. Only doubt or decision you should be asking yourself is "Do I need the S470 or the S670?" May 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by i have been grillin for over 25 years for the past 20 i have owned a ducane had to replace a few parts that were under warrante other than that it just wore out so i decided to buy this weber summit s-470 thru home depot on line shipping was estimated to be 2 weeks it arrived in 1 week it came pre assembeled {the shipping container was well enginered} the rest of the assembly took about 2 hours this grill cooks flawlessly but because of the flavorizer bar locations it needs to be cleaned after every use the drippings from the grilled items fall directly on top of the burners blocking them partialy so if you dont mind taking the cooking grates, flavorizerbars out of the grill ancleaning them and wire brushing the burners every time you want to bbq this grill is for you the rotisserie setup is second to none i cooked a 7lb prime rib it came out awesome the motor is almost silent the only draw back i can see is the cleaning but the way i look at it for such a large investment and with cleaning after every use this grill should last 20 years PS by all means purchace the grill cover its worth the 50 bucks hope this helps you potential weber grill buyers May 4, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by WOW! I assembled it in less than one hour after reading the manual, not bad for an old guy with a sore back. I am, or should say was, a loyal charcoal chef. This unit has me wishing I had bought one years ago. No briquet or ash mess to clean, fast and clean heat, easy the move, and a large cooking surface. The burners and searing stations all work perfectly. Can't wait to try the smoker. July 15, 2015
