If you look at the price of this grill and think "that's absurd," you are absolutely right. This is a crazy amount of money to spend on a grill. That said, if you are in the market and have the cash to "burn," you will not regret it.
I've had my S-670 for almost two years now and use at a minimum of once a week, often more. Altogether it's 10 burners, but it's really more efficient than I thought\ it would be. The temperature control you can get is superb, and multi-zone cooking is consistent.
As others have noted, it does heat up quick, but keep in mind that the stainless steel grates in this model are thicker and heavier than any others, so they grates need time to get searing hot throughout before you put food on (or it will stick).
I'm very glad I was finally able to take the Weber plunge. I had to option to go this route or the Big Green Egg. I enjoy eating off my friends' BGEs, but for the versatility and efficiency, I've never regretted going with the Weber.

Owned this grille for about a year. Stays outside on a covered porch area.
The good: the searing station, rotisserie, wood chip tray, all the cooking tools work great. With the 6 burners the heat is infinitely adjustable. Unlike my previous weber stainless steel, the grille slats did not rust out or the flavor bars. After a year all the burners stil light first time.
The bad: everything not related to cooking is rusting off the grille. The lower cabinet door handles are bubbling up under the cheap simulated chrome coating. The little lights on the handles stopped working, but cannot change the batteries because the screws holding them together are rusted shut. Rust is spotting on the burner cover. The warming rack rusted over within months and is unusable. I use the weber stainless brush to clean it, and it exacerbates the issue.
Bottom line is for $ 2,400.00 this should be a better engineered product. If you need a large grille you can buy 6 cheaper ones over the years. This is not the lifetime grille I thought it was. It will last maybe 4 years as all the other ones do. After that the exterior will be too gross to be in the backyard. The other option is to purchase a real totally stainless grille like a lazyman used to be, or other custom product. Next time I'll have one built at the machine shop.

I'VE HAD THIS GAS GRILL FOR (2) MONTHS AND HAVE FOUND:
1. HEAT GOES TO 700+ DEGRESS IN 5 MINUTES
2. THE SIDE BURNER HAS TO BE LEFT ON LOW, IT PUTS OUT SO MUCH HEAT.
3. THE LIGHTS WORK VERY WELL.
4. FOOD IS COOKED VERY EVENLY
5. THE SMOKER BOX REALLY IS A NICE ADDITION.
6. AS THIS UNIT PRODUCES MORE HEAT MORE EFFIECENTLY, THIS UNIT USES LESS PROPANE THAN MY OLD KENMORE 4 BURNER UNIT.
7. CLEANS UP VERY EASILY, AS THE FLAVORIZER BARS REALLY WORK AT KEEPING FLARE-UPS DOWN, AND DISSIPATING THE GREASE.

I researched this grill on line for the last two years as my $300 Brinkmann was on it's last legs after only 5 years. I decided when I bought my next grill I would pay the price for quality, I was done with buying cheap grills that looked good for one year. I am thrilled with this grill. I use it every night, have had many friends over, cooked a wide variety and it has surpassed every expectation. It heats up very quickly, cooks evenly, food tastes fantastic and is very easy to clean. I love all the features and am so happy I went with this model instead of a smaller one. This is an investment, and will last for many years. Quality construction, easy assembly and so impressive in every way. Thank you Weber for a truly amazing product. Worth every penny!

This grill is worth every dollar. It is well designed and well constructed. If you spend another $300 in Weber accessories you will be set for life with a Top Shelf setup. Weber accessories perform great and make the grilling experience fantastic. The size of the grill allows us to cook our meat, corn and vegetables in a SS bowl all at the same time.

I bought this grill to replace my 12 year old grill. I have always wanted a high-end grill and after much research, the Weber Summit S-670 was my choice. It arrived in a very large box with a heavy-duty molded plastic base to protect the wheels and bottom of the bbq's cabinet. Everything in the shipping container was well padded so there was no unwanted scratches or damage. I found the instruction manual easily understandable and assembling the bbq was very easy.
The very first night we invited some friends over and barbequed chicken and steaks using the integrated smoker box and some hickory chips. The smoker box with it's dedicated burner took about 6 minutes to begin smoking and filled the grilling chamber with very fragrant smoke. The chicken and steaks had just the right amount of smokiness and cleaning the smoker box was as easy as lifting it out and dumping the residue in the garbage can. Cleaning the grates is as easy as brushing with a quality grill brush and leaving the bbq on high for about 3 minutes. (reached 600 degrees in that short time) The drip tray is sloped to channel the grease to a hole over a foil collection tray about 4 inches by 8 inches.
Recently, I used the bbq to help my daughter cater a wedding reception and cooked approximately 300 meat skewers. After grilling all that meat deep cleaning of the grill was a snap. The grates soaked in the sink while I used a bucket of soapy water and wiped out the interior of the grill. Nothing stuck to the inside and it looked like new when I was done.
The handle lights are convenient and do a fair job of lighting the inside of the grill. My favorite feature of this grill is how accurately I can control the temperature of the grill. I like to preheat the grill to about 500 degrees, place my chickens which i have cut in half on the grates skin side down, close the lid and reduce the temperature of the four middle burners to the lowest setting. The two end burners I use for indirect heating and set them to keep the grilling chamber at 400 degrees. The temperature never varies and I get consistent results every time I use this technique. After the chicken has browned and has good grill marks I flip the chicken over so bone side is down and allow them to come to temperature (180 degrees in the thigh meat). I keep the lid closed at all times and the grilling chamber acts like a convection oven cooking the chicken to perfection.
I would recommend this grill to anyone looking for a high quality bbq.

1st class grill, it is your oven outside or a grill outside which ever way you want to use it ,I bought the natural gas one,best thing ever, having natural gas.Grill has more then enough space for anything you put on it. I often have several food items going at once or in various stages of the cooking process. If you want the top of the line buy this grill worth every penny

I live near the ocean and the outside of my stainless steel Summit 670 has rust spots everywhere except on the lid. The non-stainless frame is rusting away. I called Weber and they sent replacement side and door panels on a one-time basis.....I protested, citing the warrantee but they said I live in extreme conditions and their warrantee doesn't cover that.....next time I will have to buy a new grill. My grill receives wonderful care: after grilling I quickly cover the grill with large bath towels (to protect from the light fog in our area) and when the lid cools I quickly cover the grill with a Weber cover that is replaced annually. I will need to replace my grill after owning it 7 years.
So......if you live in "extreme" conditions be aware of these limitations. You may be ahead of the game getting a less expensive grill and replacing it more often.
