Never used a weed eater.. or lawn mower before. But my back yard was a forest of thick weeds almost as tall as me.. Im 5 ft tall!! This weedeater rocked through my backyard with no problems. It was powerful, not to heavy, and super easy to use. What a deal!

I was looking for a no frills weed trimmer thats easy to use and with good power so I bought this one. I am pleased with its performance and it has very good power. Gets the job done easily. The construction feels a little flimsy but for the price that's not unexpected. I have had a gas trimmer previously but it was always a pain to start and to mix the gas and oil. I also prefer the manual line feed as opposed to the automatic line feed trimmers which I feel waste a lot of line.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cathy This is a great product for the money.
I received this weed eater today and finished my entire yard with it without any issues. I particularly like that it is tap and go vs. auto line feed. It was easy to assemble and easy to use for what I needed it for. Compared to the gas/oil weed eater I had before, this is great-no more mixtures to mix, no fooling with a choke-this you just plug it in and go. I got a great deal in the price over the Memorial Day holiday which only sweetens the pot.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by humbletxdan great weedeater
this is exactly what i wanted as far as a weedeater i've been searching for.All the new weedeaters take a pre filled cartridge which last only about 2 times around the yard. This one has bump and go line feed which seems to last a lot longer. At about 1/3 the price as an auto-feed weedeater it was a great buy.The line is a lot cheaper to replace than any of the cartridge ones.I would recommend this weedeater to everyone.

I have used Weed Eater string grass trimmers for over 20 years and I have had several previous versions of this model. Some lessons learned are: purchase a generic 600 foot spool of trimmer line and take a few minutes to wind the string onto the Weed Eater spool when you run out of line. You will save a lot of money in the long run. Also, the first thing to go bad is the bump/tap line dispensing mechanism due to having constantly strike the ground to let out more string. The spring under the spool eventually gets weak and will start throwing out a foot or more of line instead of an inch or two. Replacement parts are hard to find and if found seldom work as well as the original parts. Therefore after having to replace this trimmer every one to two years I now stop trimming and manually push the spool tap button and pull out a short segment of string. This process only takes a few seconds, preserves the strength of the spool spring, conserves string, and in my experience extends the life of the trimmer for many years.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ebeohp A Powerful Machine!
This weed eater is a bit more powerful than I am ready for: I have to do some practicing on my (small) lawn - and hope I don't gouge too much yard along the way. It is light (a good feature) and performs like a gem. Performance deserves 5 stars, but the super-power gets 4 stars from me simply because it has so much!

I have a small yard, so no need for high end trimmer. Tempted to buy cordless, but all negative reviews for them concerned the battery...I'm used to the cord, why invite problems. Shield attached very easily (a problem with last trimmer). Replacing line inexpensive and low tech. For the price, this is excellent product.

Great bargain - does a wonderful job. Has a lot of power for a very light electric trimmer.
