Customer Reviews

Miami Medallion Centre Black 8 ft. 2 in. x 9 ft. 10 in. Traditional Area Rug is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Miami Medallion area rug The size was great. I did not unroll or put down as I was planning to paint the living room first but due to the weather change, I opted to leave the painting go until spring. Leaving it in the plastic and rolled up was not my best idea and it has taken a while for it to lay flat. The colors are bright and the design is pretty. I had an area rug similar to this many years ago, that was very expensive and this rug measures up to that one very well in color and design but the pile and feel of the rug is not as thick or soft. However, this is a great looking rug for the money and I am very pleased with it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what I was expecting.. I've purchased 8x10 area rugs in a local HD which were pretty good quality and retailed at $197. In fact I have one in my LR and am satisfied with the purchase. This rag however is a completely different story. It is extremly cheap, thin, and was rolled as tight as a knot apparently to minimize shipping cost. The item is incorrectly listed as 0.55" thick and there is no way on God's Green Earth it is even close to that. My first clue something was awry was when the diminuitive clerk at pickup was bringing the rug to me she was carrying it with one arm. In fact the rolled carpet is so thin if held in the center it will fold itself in half which was helpful in an odd way as I folded the thing in half and tossed it into the back of my vehicle. Absolute junk I thought but took it home to give it a try anyway. It looks ok from a distance but has numerous creases which won't flatten out all throughout the rug at intervals of 4~12". It would have been a decent prospect at about $50 if it didn't have the perma-set creases. Anyway it is getting a ride back to HD and I've tossed the dice on another inexpensive rug. If that flunks I'll try to find something I like in the local HD (vs. ordering sight unseen which is a bit of a loony prospect), however that selection is limited and availability is inconsistent. Seriously HD buying a product like this online is a dicey proposition in the first place, but when you get the listed specifications wrong you're just adding to customer alienation.
