I'd say the ladder is easily less than 50 lbs. Light enough for me to pick it up by myself without a second person to help. Obviously, with the 10 ft. length, you need to watch both ends when lifting and moving the ladder, especially through the house to rooms with high ceiling. Answer:
The ladder would more than likely stick out of the back end of your mini van. I took it home in a medium size SUV and had to tie down the back lift gate as the ladder stuck out of it.

The 10 ft. is the overall height of the ladder. However, you should not stand on the top step or the second rung from the top because you have nothing to hold on to and can easily fall- the government requires ladder manufacturers to label the next to top step to warn about this. It appears to be rust resistant. I left it outside and propped it up against the house under the eave after I purchased it. That same evening, a rain storm came through the area and the ladder got wet. So far, no rust is showing.

The aluminum on the ladders is rust proof. However, there are some parts that may rust over time, depending on the environment. Some of these parts include rivets and the hardware for the shoes.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Sturdy I purchased this ladder to clean gutters on my house. I did not want an extension ladder as I have no one to hold onto the bottom of one while I climb. This ladder solved that problem. I have over 3,000 sq feet of gutters and I feel very comfortable doing it alone while standing on this ladder. I will admit it's a bit awkward to move but the weight of it just adds to its stability. Overall, a great product. September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It's a ladder It does all the things expected of a ladder. Quite satisfied with it's laddering abilities. August 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best 10ft Ladder If you look at the side of the ladder opposite the steps you'll see more braces than most 10ft ladders. This makes it very stable (no twisting). I could easily reach 14ft, and I am vertically-challenged (5'6"). Home Depot had the best price by far at the time I bought it. August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 10 Ft. Aluminum Step Ladder I love this ladder. I can clean my roof. Finish building my shed and painting my house now, with the assistance of this ladder. August 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Needed something higher Allows me to reach the 14+ foot ceilings in my house (recessed lighting, smoke alarms, ceiling fans, etc), and is light enough to move around fairly easily. Can even access the roof from my patio without pulling out my unwieldy fiberglass extension ladder (which is very difficult to move and handle). Good quality and great value! June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sometimes bigger is better! I have vaulted ceilings in my bedroom and high trees in the yard that my 6 foot ladder just won't reach. This ladder was perfect for the high ceilings and I am sure I will find other uses for it. Solid construction. I am 25 pounds from the max weight limit and it had no problem supporting me working right at the top. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good purchase This is a very good ladder for the price. I am very happy with this purchase. thank you June 28, 2016
