I doubt it. Ladder itself is less than 11' long when fully extended. I have no idea why it is sold as a 13' ldder.

Answer:
When the MT-13 is in the straight ladder position it only reaches a height of 11ft. On an average 2 story home, the height to the gutter stands around 19ft. We would suggest the MT-26.

Answer:
Yes, the MT series of ladders have telescoping legs that can adjust in height. Each leg can be adjusted independently to allow the ladder to be used on steps.

Can you utilize all rungs for standing when in step ladder mode? One reviewer mentioned you can't climb higher than the second rung.

Answer:
When using the MT ladder in the A frame position you are not to stand above the second rung from the top. When you are using the MT ladder in the straight position you are not to stand higher then the 4ft rung from the top.

Customer Reviews

13 ft. Aluminum Telescoping Multi-Position Ladder with 225 lb. Load Capacity Type II Duty Rating is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 38.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light and easy to use - I bought two I saw and bought my first adjustable ladder (a PAL - Professional Adjustable Ladder brand) at a home show 25 years ago. It was innovative, very versatile, it's gotten a lot of use, and I've loved it. Last year, I needed a second ladder and bought this Werner ladder on sale at Home Depot. It is noticeably lighter and easier to use. My old ladder (like some others on the market) has three sets of spring-loaded hinges for changing the angle of its sections and requires a lot of space to reconfigure. The new ladder has just one set of latches in the middle for changing the angle, plus two sections that telescope to make it taller. The PAL was more flexible, because you can shape it like an A, I, inverted L, or M (I may be forgetting a shape), but in 25 years, I rarely used more than the A and I shapes. The A and I shapes are easier to do with the Werner, plus you can configure it as two As (the M shape) if needed for use as saw horses or for a scaffold. The Werner design goes easily from its most compact configuration to a 6 ft A-frame ladder while the older design takes a lot of work and work area to reconfigure from storage to useful. This model of the Werner is rated for 225 pounds, which works for me, and I don't want to mess with a heavier ladder. My old ladder is probably heavier primarily because it's rated for more weight, but if I needed a 300 pound-capacity ladder, I'd consider buying another model from Werner. I liked this ladder so much that I recently bought a second one just like it and gave the older/heavier one to our son. This Werner ladder gets top marks for Quality. I also gave it top marks for Value, but admit that rating was influenced by me getting both of them at sale prices from Home Depot.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as advertised Beware! This is NOT a 13' ladder. The overall length is less than 11". The fine print says 13' reach, meaning you are adding your arm to the top of it. Disappointing as it was nicely made. We will return it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from not a 13 foot ladder NIce ladder. Lightweight, esy to manipulate, strong. But it under 11' long when fully extended. A six foot step ladder is six feet tall. A ladder advertised as 13' long should be 13' long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Happy with this ladder I wanted a ladder that would reach the gutters on my ranch home. 13 foot. I wanted something that was not too heavy to lift as I am a slight 60 year old woman in good shape, but lifting is getting harder. I went to Home Depot and Lowes and they had the ladder I wanted but it weighed 37lbs and solid enough to hold someone 300lbs. It was way too heavy for me. It was rated a Type I ladder. I went on the Home Depot web site and found this 13 foot ladder by the same company. which is rated as a Type II and holds up to 225lbs. It only weighed 23lbs. Shipping was free and it was on sale for $10 off the original price. I paid less than $100 and got the ladder I wanted. It is easy enough to handle and I am very pleased with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best choice for portability I looked at the other ladders, all were a little oversized for the trunk of my wife's car. I wanted the most compact storing ladder available-that could also get me on a roof regularly, as I inspect a lot of roofs. I also didn't want to be lugging extra weight around unnecessarily. If this is your goal- buy this ladder with confidence. If you are a large, heavy person, then you might consider something more heavy duty. I haven't used the ladder for scaffolding yet- but it does have that capability as well. The interesting thing about this ladder is it can only be purchased here! It isn't even listed at the manufacturers website. Go figure?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works good the product works good. I thought it would be the full 13 feet instead it measures 12 feet

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ladder! I bought this ladder to paint the railing of my deck. I'm a single woman who's not particularly muscular, and I wanted a lighter ladder, not the heavier one that's rated for 300 lb. This is perfect. It weighs about 25 pounds and is easy to carry and set up. I couldn't be happier.
