All that being said, I used this ladder more than the other three extension ladders I own. It's very light, it can be used as an extension ladder, or two really light 8' ladders (not sure if the mfr recommends this?). It's just very "handy" and can be used and stowed so easily and quickly that I invariably just grab it. Would i use this on a task that would take more than 30 minutes - no. But for changing lightbulbs etc, this ladder is a perfect choice. Read Less

It's only 16' if you break it into two pieces - the actual working length has a 3' overlap, making it a 13' ladder maximum, 8' minimum.

I'm assuming that the weight limit for a person on this ladder is 200 lbs. If you weigh 250 lbs. I would go to the next bracket in load ratings just to be safe.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 62 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good ladder for flat hard surface I chose this ladder because its price ($99) was less than a similar wider ladder. I put it on lumpy dirt next to my house to climb on the roof, and it wobbled. I took it back to Home Depot, and they reimbursed the price to me. I will buy the wider version of the ladder when they get it in stock. I recommend the first ladder to people who will use it only on flat hard surfaces. September 20, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Home Ladder It is Ok for around the house but not for use otherwise. July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Purchase for the money this ladder does the trick and is small enough for me to handle. Priced under a $100 with a 16' reach. Wonderful...just make sure you don't hop on it with your hubby....there is a 200 pound limit. June 7, 2016
