Customer Questions & Answers

Can I use this ladder to install a light at 24 ft high on the side of my house?

Asked by: butch2T
No, not unless you are over 7 feet tall. The ladders last step is at 15" and of course you lose some height due to the lean of the ladder. And there is the question of safety as you stand on step 15 with your hands held stretching into the air holding onto nothing. Nope you would be much safer with a 24 foot ladder. This would allow you to have a hand safely on the ladder while easily reaching the bulb at 24 feet in front of you.

DOes this have round or flat rungs?

Asked by: Anonymous
The rungs are not totally flat they are slightly curved, but none the less the key is watch where you are stepping and definitely one step at a time and do not jump down you will twist your ankle, if not this time maybe next time. Play safe, put the odds in your favor, one step at a time. Arnie

16 ft. Aluminum Extension Ladder with 225 lb. Load Capacity Type II Duty Rating is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 246.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do I weigh 50 pounds less on the ladder? I've had a 225 pound rated 20' Werner extension since I weighed 180 pounds. Now I weigh 275 pounds. The ladder still works, showing no signs of strain. Maybe I lose 50 pounds when I step on to it. I bought a 24' today because in the years since I bought the 20 footer, I have gotten shorter and need the extra reach the 24 footer provides.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Inspect product before buying Plastic and caps fell off with the first use Pads were bent at the bottom Rope was stuck in pulley could not get it out had to cut the rope Would be more time-consuming to return the ladder then it was, just to use and store it away

The only reason that rate a 4 star is that you can get a better ladder, but only for more money. This one is great for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Ladder. Wish I had bought years ago. I'm 61 years old and this ladder is so light that I have no trouble carrying it around. I love the length because it will do almost any project I have to do on my house. Don't let the lightness fool you. This is a very strong and sturdy ladder.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wobbly I bought this ladder to clean the gutters on my home which are about 19 feet up and extended the ladder to the second to last rung. As I ascended the ladder, I reached 1/2 way before the wobble and bounce stopped me in my tracks. I was probably only standing at 10 feet. This ladder flexes a lot. There's are a lot of positive comments. I'm really surprised this ladder underperformed. I'll be returning it shortly.

It works but can be a bit wobbly when you get to the middle, but after all, you pay for what you get and this is an "economy ladder". Like all ladders, it's a pain to extend it but on the bright side it doesn't weigh a ton so one person can manage it. I only use it periodically so it works OK for me, if I needed it for regular use or work I'd go for a better model.
