Sometimes you just have to stand on the top because the cookies are hidden on the top shelf of the pantry.
Of course if you fall, then please refer to the safety warnings on the ladder as an "I told you so."
If you have been drinking a lot, you may wish to reconsider if it is really the best time to utilize a ladder.
Beginners should use extra caution when attempting this maneuver. Experts should have no problem using this tool properly.

THERE IS NOTHING IN THE SPECS THAT SAY ONE CANNOT STAND ON THE TOP STEP. Remember , it's a step stool not strictly a ladder. Although generally, good safety dictates not to step on the top of a ladder which is reserved for tools and small materials.
What is clear in the specs was all the three steps are rated for 300 lbs which is far greater than the normal weight of a person.

Answer:
No. Ladders of any size or type are not made for persons to stand on top. When doing so your center of gravity off sets the balance and stability of the engineering design for safety. A better choice is to aquire and use a ladder with a longer or higer length to achieve a safer operation.

2 ft. Aluminum Step Ladder with 300 lb. Load Capacity Type IA Duty Rating is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is a ladder and it worked. I did not read the instructions, but it seemed fairly obvious how it would work. Beginners should find this easy to operate. I was able to climb up the ladder to reach things. It supported my weight. It folded for storage after I had climbed back down. Cookies hidden on the top shelf of the pantry will not longer be a problem. If you like cookies, buy this ladder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptionally useful; good value for the money. A small ladder like this is hard to find. It's useful in a multitude of ways around the house. I especially like that it is very lightweight and extremely easy to open and close. It's small enough to store anywhere in the house, in any closet, and so it is always handy. I am very pleased with the product.
