Decent type II ladder, convenient size, harder to raise and lower than 2-section ladders. Note that it does not come with a rope and pulley. I found raising the second fly very challenging, since it requires pushing up 2/3 of the weight of the ladder with one hand while holding the ladder vertical with the other hand. However, I have added a rope and pulley (sold as repair parts for 2-section ladders) to raise the second fly and find the result much more manageable. Others have described this ladder as wobbly; I have not seen that, but I haven't used it at full extension yet. If that is a serious concern, Werner does make a very similar type IA fiberglass ladder; I expect that would be considerably more stable, if rather heavier. It is not available from Home Depot.

Great ladder. Very lite. Easy to carry & operate. Just a little to 'thick' to have on truck rack.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bryan Very, very, very wobbly
When I read the reviews saying this ladder is wobbly, I thought those reviewers were probably exaggerating. Boy was I wrong. Without even being fully extended the ladder wobbles so much from side to side that it was impossible to feel comfortable. I've spent a bit of time on ladders and am pretty comfortable at heights. For example, I ended up hanging out of my windows to remove shutters instead of using this ladder. Would not recommend unless you're looking for an amusement ride.

My husband uses this latter for work on a daily basis. This our second, the first was stolen. I guess people recognize good quality.

Fitting inside the Chev Suburban nicely was the main reason for purchasing this ladder, which is used on multiple houses, daily for pressure washing. Being just under 40lbs, its easy to carry and setup as well as carry upright, fully extended from spot to spot. Adding ladder horns... makes it a bit top heavy when carrying upright. Ladder horns add a tremendous amount of stability and some surface stand off, recommend you get some, worth the investment. The ladder is constructed a little on the lighter side, flexes more than i like, rated for 225lbs, a rating of 250lbs. would be worth the extra couple pounds in added weight, IMO. Still a good ladder. Easy to extended, collapse and transport. Two fastex buckles and straps. One wraps around lower rungs to secure ladder together, other one forms a nice carry handle and keeps ladder from extending as well. I haven't dropped mine, nor let it fall, so i cant say how durable it is under those conditions. Overall a good investment, i would buy it again.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by PoppaC Three Section Extension Ladder
The ladder we bought was 24 ft. long. The three eight foot sections are much easier to move and handle than a two section ladder of the same length. It is also easier to store. The only thing we found with it is that it wiggles side to side a bit. For a steadier ladder we think we should get one of those ladder mount tools. The HD clerk recommended it, and we should have bought it when we were there. He said that the only trouble was that it would make it hard to raise and lower without removing it each time. He told us that he had been a house painter and that for one person, it made the ladder steadier. Overall, a good investment for us.

Getting on the roof to clean a chimney was never convenient until I bought this ladder. I don't have a good storage area so the three section feature is great for storage.
