Customer Questions & Answers

Can I use this ladder to install a light at 24 ft high on the side of my house?

Asked by: butch2T
I think extended it is about 19' but you have to account for a significant angle of placement which would reduce the reach. A ladder of 19' placed at the recommended 75 degree angle would place it approximately 5 feet from the wall.

extension ladders: how can an 8 ft ladder extend to 16 ft? there has to be an overlap of at least 2 ft so a 16 ft ladder must be at least 9 ft min?

Asked by: Anonymous
It can't extend to 16 so that is a misnomer. If you want a ladder which extends to 16 feet then buy an 18 foot extension ladder. There should be a couple of feet of overlap.

DOes this have round or flat rungs?

Asked by: Anonymous
The rungs are not totally flat they are slightly curved, but none the less the key is watch where you are stepping and definitely one step at a time and do not jump down you will twist your ankle, if not this time maybe next time. Play safe, put the odds in your favor, one step at a time. Arnie

I just bought this ladder and used it to clean out the gutters on my 2 story house. It was just barely tall enough. I am glad I got the 225 LB ladder instead of the 200 LB, because this one was pretty shaky as it was. My weight is 177 Lbs. I strongly caution anyone considering using a ladder this high to be extremely careful, and to hire someone instead if they have any balance problems or are overweight. You can very easily fall and kill or paralyze yourself. All that being said, I am very pleased with this ladder, and glad I bought it.

It works but can be a bit wobbly when you get to the middle, but after all, you pay for what you get and this is an "economy ladder". Like all ladders, it's a pain to extend it but on the bright side it doesn't weigh a ton so one person can manage it. I only use it periodically so it works OK for me, if I needed it for regular use or work I'd go for a better model.

Originally I first ordered a Fiberglass 24 ft but it was hard to maneuver Too heavy. At My age I cant move it around. So I exchanged for the Aluminum. Its a Little easier tho I put Ladder Levelers and Standoff unit. its a little Heavier but still can Move around

There was some minor damage (dents and some bending above the top rung) to the left rail of the fixed section of the ladder, but did not interfere with setup or function.

Good thing I'm not a 300 lbs; I already have a ladder built for the big guys and it is SO hard to move from place to place. If you can use a lighter duty ladder that is easy to move and set up, this is you baby. Great product and great price!
