If I have to pick this up, how compact is the packing?

I need to know if this might fit in my Hundai Sonata with seats folded or do i have to rent a truck for this ? Thank you

I rented this model from Home Depot. The HD associate helped me load it into my car to make sure it fit before I rented it. It fit snugly into my 2010 Toyota Prius with the rear seats folded down and the passenger seat all of the way forward and folded forward. BTW: I just needed to replace 3 fluorescent lamps with LED lamps over stairs and this ladder served me very well. BTW: Moving this ladder and setting up is a 2-person job especially for stairs.

26 ft. Aluminum Telescoping Multi-Position Ladder with 300 lb. Load Capacity Type IA Duty Rating is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 1853.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Versatile Ladder This is a very useful ladder. It's very strongly-made and has nice widely-spaced feet; I never feel at all unsafe when I'm on it. Most of the time so far I have used it as a small step ladder, but I've also extended it to reach the raised ceiling in one of our rooms and opened it out into a regular ladder to climb onto our roof. I particularly like the ease with which it adjusts and the solid feel of the adjustment latches. You may need to be aware that it's heavy, but I guess that's a by-product of its strong construction. I have no regrets at all about buying this ladder. It's a quality product that I'd completely recommend to others.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very sturdy and very heavy ladder There are trade-offs with any product and that is true for this ladder. The MT-26 provides a very stable 13 foot step ladder but it also is very heavy and the steps are less than half as wide as those of a regular step ladder and so not comfortable for standing on for any amount of time. The rungs are also too far apart to use something like the Werner AC24 tray so I need to tie a bucket to the ladder for parts I need when at the top. Very easy to adjust the height on each side and not have to support the entire weight of the ladder. I have similar ladders and they are not nearly as easy to adjust even though they are much shorter ladders. As this is a very heavy ladder I would recommend buying only as tall a MT ladder as you actually will need.

I bought this ladder 3 years ago and the other day when I coming down the ladder it failed. I am no where close to the weight limit. the sides gave out and it buckled. Called Werner and they could of cared less. Instead of replacing the ladder they basically said take a hike. below are images of the ladder.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very versatile ladder! The ladder is very stable and comfortable to be on. Because of its size it is better handled by 2 people. This is our second one of these and we plan to use it to make scaffolding to build our house. We have been using our first one for about 3 years and love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Step Ladder Ever I own three of these ladders one 26' and two 22' purchased as needed. As an exterior contractor the ability to set up on uneven surfaces is important, this product fills the bill. I've owned my 26' for nine years, it's been used hard and still performs well. In my opinion these ladders are studier than the competition and at a better price. The wide footing makes them very safe as a step or extension ladder. Versatile, sturdy, safe, and a good value.

Those less than 5 star are annoyed by the weight. Read the specs... Clearly states the weight. Why knock the product because you are too lazy to read or research. Last time that I checked, strong, sturdy ladders carry some weight. Easy to use ladder. I have a 22' Little Giant, and feel that the 26' Werner is just as good, and a few hundred dollars cheaper.

As a new home owner I thought that maybe this was a bit too much ladder for me. After replacing batteries in smoke detectors at the top (ugh) of a very high vaulted ceiling, cleaning gutters, hanging Christmas lights and finally being able to reach some difficult spots in the garage it's clear that this ladder is an investment and a necessity. With only 4 months of ownership it has proven invaluable. Our driveway is also slightly slanted, making a normal A-frame ladder less than ideal for accessing the roof at the front of our house. With the ability to extend each side of this ladder to different heights, the driveway grade was a non-point and I actually felt very secure on the uneven surface. Even hard to reach places above stairs and steps are easily overcome with the variable side extension capability. Pros: Weight Craftsmanship Durability Versatility Cons: None yet
