3-Rung Long Body Ladder Jack P/N 57448-01, & Werner Type I Duty Rating Extension Ladder. The ladder jack gets stuck when I use it on the top/outside of the ladder, I have to use a block of wood and 3lb. hammer to remove the jack from the ladder, after it is removed I see the damage on the ribs, on 3 of the rungs. The rivets on the ladder jack are causing this problem. From what I can read this ladder jack can be used on both sides of the ladder. Does Werner Ladder actually test fit the product before selling.
Asked by: JoeFor
As a follow up regarding this concern, I contacted Werner, they looked into this concern and found I had a older set of Ladder Jacks, and they have made a change in the hook size, they claim they will take care of the issue.

How much weight does It hold

Asked by: Ju
The ladder jacks are used as a system with two extension ladders and a stage platform. The ladder jacks will take on the weight rating of the lowest rated piece in the system. Werner recommends using ladder jacks only with Type IA and Type IAA ladders, while OSHA and ANSI do allow the use with Type I ladders as well.
