Mayber there is a formula for calculating the height needed to cover how far you should pull away from wall for a safe slant, etc. My guess is probably 24' ladder would let me slant it adequately plus extend a bit past the gutter.

TIA for any info.

Answer:
To reach a 19' gutter we would recommend either our D6224-2, maximum reach of this ladder is 23' with the height to gutter or top support being 13' - 17'. Or our 28' D6228-2, maximum reach 27', height to gutter or top support 17' - 21'.

Answer:
For this application we would recommend our AC78 stabilizer, however it will need to be used against a vertical surface.

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 131 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 40' Werner Fiberglass Type IA ladder Real happy with this ladder. Made well so it will not flex at full extension. Non-conductivity is always a plus when working at high levels. Price was less than I expected to pay, even when on sale. Only negative word might be that it's a little heavy for one person to stand up that's 58. That ones on me... : ) Werner has been my ladder for over 40 years, not going to change now... Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice product for it's job. This product is very strong and stable. The only problem we had so far with it, is that it is very heavy and somewhat tough for even 2 people to handle. August 26, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 300 lb. Extension Ladder Lader is just what we needed. Long and heavy weight limit so when we carry heavy items up the ladder. Its heavy, but that was exoected. Good quality ladder. May 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice ladder. I an constantly up and down telephone poles in my profession and when you are toting a ladder on your shoulder up hills and through the woods, weight matters! This thing is super light and easy to handle. My last ladder weighed twice as much and I have no idea why because this thing doesn't flex much and hold my 220lb self just fine. Highly suggested.
